I posted a question before asking the range of a Japanese Chin and someone replied with: $800-$2,000.
I am browsing in puppyfind.com for a Japanese Chin and I came across a 4 month old Chin with the cost of $150.
Here is the link: http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listing/?add_fav=1&list_id=k9cccn100r&back=%2Ffor_sale%2F%3Fbreed_id%3D67%26country%3D%26state%3D%26page%3D2%26order_by%3Drand%26back%3D%252Fsearch%252F%253Fsubmit%253D1%2526str%253DJapanese%252BChin%2526page%253D1&sid=739698e1a33e090f55ca3aa1b551b67d

Q: Are Japanese Chins at the price of $150 in good condition?

Puppyfind.com is a ripoff site for backyard breeders looking to make a buck.

That this site claims their dogs are "NKC registerable" and that this dog is "APRI registered" should give you all the information that you need to know.

If not, the fact that this "kennel" also lists Boston Terriers, Shiba Inu, Silky Terries, Doxies, Basenjis, Poodles, Collies and Chihuahuas should be a HUGE red flag.

An example of a breeder on Puppyfind: "My name is Beth Nelson, my husband, Bobby, and I live on 135 acres in South Central Texas. We raise Miniature and Toy Schnauzers. We specialize in the rare and unusual colors, we also
have all the regular colors. We have the chocolate (liver), chocolate and tan and also partis."

* There is no such thing as a "Toy Schnauzer".

* Their "rare and unusual colors" shouldn't exist in a Miniature Schnauzer (chocolate, tan, liver, parti).

Even though they offer health checks and guarantees, this is a puppy mill site. Please go to the akc site and check out breed clubs for a breeder referral. The price may be good but you will pay in the long run with vet bills and heart aches from buying this dog.

Yep looks like a puppy mill to me, buyer be ware!! It IS 4 months old, which is a bit weird, but any breeder whelping so many different breeds is a big red flag. If it was me I would not give them any money. Good for you for questioning a puppy's breeder before you buy one, too many people don't!!

I looked at this puppy and at the site they have listed. Sorry honey but if I were you I'd keep looking. They breed way too many different breeds of dogs so I'd say they were a puppy mill with a very nice web site.

No. That is nothing but a puppy broker site and no responsible breeder would use it or the internet to hawk their puppies... also notice they are 'NKC' registered which is just one of those pseudo-registries that the puppy millers/back yard greeders use to register their dogs that wouldn't otherwise be registerable. You get what you pay for and basically you would get a 'cheap' dog...

Yipes. Yup, this is exactly what NOT to look for. Their website tells all. I agreed that you get what you pay for. This "bargain" dog would likely turn into a VERY expensive genetic problem.

Keep looking. If your expectations are not high buy from a local shelter.

It sounds like a back yard breeder or the breeder is selling it as a pet without its papers i would ask why it is being sold so cheep. Sounds like they want a quick sale i would be weary.

run far far away from these people.this "breeder" in particular has at least 4 different breeds of dogs that they are selling via this website. reputable breeders will stick with only one breed.

THE WHOLE WEBSITE IS A PUPPY MILL SITE.

You get what you pay for.
With this kind of site and these kind of breeders, you cannot even guarantee
To me, something look amiss with the nose area. Not sure what exactly, but I don't like it.
