It all depends on your location. Where i work if $32.00 for just the office visit. Then whatever shots or meds your get is added on to that price.

My vet charges $18.96 for an office visit and $16.71 for an exam. To that, you may have to add the cost of tests (blood work or urinalysis usually run about $20-$25 per test). If the dog needs medications, they can run anywhere from $4-$500. Currently, I spend $116.07 a month total on 3 different medications for two of my dogs. This is at a full-service AAHA clinic in a small midwestern city...prices vary geographically, but are pretty much the same from city to city in the three state area I live in. Feel free to call ahead of time to ask about prices...they talk to "price shoppers" all day long...just remember that you often get what you pay for...I'd rather pay more to the vet, and feel secure in his/her abilities.

It depends on what you're there for. An emergency appt. to remove intestinal blockage is much more than, say, a routine visit to get rabies boosters and a nail trim. It's OK to call different vets' offices to comparison shop. Your local Humane Society will probably have the best prices.

it all depends on the vet's office, but usually in the range of $15 - $25. if you're trying to get the better deal, call around and ask. and don't forget about animal clinics. they're just as good as a vet's office and (at least for the one in my area) they're a lot cheaper!

It depends on where you are and your particular vet. Mine charges $35 for just the office visit, then whatever you actually have done is a separate charge (shots, deworming, heartworm testing, etc). I'm in W. NY
