A few moments ago, I asked the question, "At what temperature should you start bringing your dogs in at night?" ...and I recieved several rude remarks. People went on ram pages about how I should treat my dog like "part of the family", and let her live in the house.
I have a female American Pit Bull Terrier, and she loves to run and play outside. I would compare keeping her inside to placing her in a jail cell. Does anyone understand what I'm talking about?!
Don't get me wrong, I understand some breeds of dog may need to come in for specific reasons, but give me a break.

They are 2 days old and feeding very well. Every 2 -3 hours, i keep four on at a time and rotate doing 3 sets of 4 then mama has a break. She has been to the vets and they were very happy with her progress, said she is producing enough milk for the pups. She is great, im helping her feed and drink, however she isn't eating all that much, i presume thats normal?? The pups seem fine and feed well, but i'm not sure when to reduce the amount of feeding times or when to make them last longer etc? I am feeding them now 2-3 hours, through the night aswell, which is tiring. When will they be able to go through the night without a feed? And at how many weeks should i reduce their feedings (from mama) from every 2-3 hours? and how long should a feed last, I know to ween them on puppy food about 4wks old.
As she has 12 pups and nearly squashed one to death, i cannot just leave them on her 24,7. plus she needs rest too, so they are in a little box next to her with heated matt and she can see them

I need factual evidence to support your answer please!

* Is blue the same as merle?
* Do they all carry the merle gene?
* If the dog is gray, would that mean that one or more of their parents or grandparents had to be merle?
* Is it true that it takes up to 18 months for the mutated gene to begin to affect the dog's eyes and ears?

Any advice would be helpful please and thx!

My dog bit my neighbor yesterday and I thought it would be great to train him in Shootzsand to channel those drives.

I put my brother in his winter clothes. He has a big fluffy ski jacket and big fluffy pants. We wrapped him in big burlap bags, liek the bags potatoes come in. We've seen the police dog demonstrations so we know all about it.

But what if my dog bites his hands? How can he protect his hands? Would leather gloves work?

ok I went to a dog show a real one, with AKC dogs but I must say I would never buy a shepherd from show breeders the dogs walk on there hocks! they look like hyenas and I don't consider such breeding good, sorry. Now some shepherds had a ground covering trot just like what I normally see but they didn't win, to me such angled hocks would be bad if the dogs were working, you don't see police, or herding dogs like that.
So are there two kinds of shepherd breeders? one that breeds the uphill looking dogs and another that breeds real working dogs? How would you go about finding a good breeder of shepherds without looking for animals with show titles, I don't care if they have clear hips I don't wouldn't want a dog that walks on its hocks.
Anyone else notice this about show shepherds?

I was told the female Pomeranian is easier and more friendly than a male Pomeranian.......is this true?
I was also told they are tempermental, bark too often, don't like kids, and are a one owner dog. Is there any truth to these negative descriptions?

I have a dachshund that is due on Dec. 3rd. I took her in to the vet when she was 35 days and he said he felt 2 puppies but there could be more. I am to take her back to the vet in about a week and a half for her next check-up. I need to know which is better for determining how many pups and how big they are in case she needs a c-section. My vet says either one but I would like to know from personal experience.

ok im definitely getting a puppy next week. i really like Yorkies, but im skeptical now after reading on more than 2 pages online that there's no such thing as a "teacup", && that they're internal organs are weak, bones are fragile, are prone to low blood sugar, and so on, (it keeps goin) im scared because they say many are unhealthy. && Breeders use commercial names like teacup and such to raise prices and all but im willing to pay the $1300 for that puppy but is ALL this true about them??

I'm going to have a few of these questions because I need about 100 dogs and their heart rates(just use your hand). I'm going to do some myself but theres no way I can get 100 unless I get some help so thank you! I would also need their height from their withers or shoulders down and if possible, their weight and breed. Once again, THANK YOU!!!!! (and for people who've seen this a million times, sry)
