Does he have toys that you want him to chew on? Chew ropes, rawhides, pig ears, stuffed animals, dentabones etc. If you see him chewing something he isn't, take him away and show him something you want him to chew. When he does, praise him a LOT. The key is praising for good things and distracting him from the bad things.

Try the product that Nicole refers to ... it really does work. My pup chewed through the rung on our new coffee table, my mistake, he should have been confined while I was taking a shower. I used the spray on all the living room/dining room furniture, no more ruined furniture. Try it.

Dogs need chewy toys
they need things to keep them from chewying on the furniture also you need to in firm voices yell no an pull him away from the place he chewing on and give him a chewy toy an make him go to his dog bed . you do this to train him and he get the idea that toys yes an furniture no no

Buy him dog bones and dog toys. When you catch him, say "NO!" and give him one of the bones. When he begin chewing the bones, praise him & pet him, that will send the message real fast.

there is a bitter citrus spray you can use that is non toxic, but also make sure your dog gets lots of walks, has lots of toys to play with and is crated when you are not around.

get a spray bottle and mix water with some cayanne pepper (or any hot pepper) and spray the furniture leg (NOT THE DOG)
