Go to several veterinarians in your area. Ask if they know any AKC Rottweiler breeders. Then schedule an appointment with each of them to inspect their male dogs, find out about cost, if they'll board your female for several days while she's being bred, etc.
Make sure the male rottie is breed-type, too. Some so-called breeders don't have a good looking male. If the male has been shown successfully, or is a Champion, you can be guaranteed the puppies will be nice looking and worth money. The breeding cost will be higher, but it's worth it.

You might also look in the phone book for breeders, but usually the vets know about reputable breeders.

Just because you have a female Rottweiler, does not mean you should breed her.

Has she had her hips checked out?
Where did you purchase her? If she is a pet store dog, you can forget about breeding.
What about all those points she needs to earn in conformation?

And why are you looking to breed her?

If you don't know where to find a stud for your dog, you probably don't know the basics of breeding. And to be a responsible breeder you need to go far beyond the basics.

Furthermore, Rottweilers are one of the most commonly surrendered dogs in the United States. To breed your dog means you will be contributing to the 8 million dogs in shelters at this time, over half of which are euthanized.

Please, think about this before you do it.

First off, you should make sure you are making the right decision of breeding your dog. Be aware that there are so many homeless dogs out there right now that are being turned into the pounds and shelters and being killed because there are not enough homes. And your motive for breeding should not be the money. If you truly love your dog and want her to have puppies, the experience is a lot of hard work, but so much fun!

If your dog is not purebred or registered AKC, it may be hard to sell the puppies, If she is, a good way to find a stud dog is by going to www.akc.org and look under breeders, there are a few listed :

Those are the only 3 registered in your area.
Another website is www.breeders.net do a search for breeders in your area.
If they don't work out for you, you can always search the papers.
Hope that helped!

Since you have already started socializing your Rottweiler with other dogs, It would probably be ok but its one of those things that you just wouldn’t really know until you get your new dog. Best not leave them together unsupervised until they get used to each other. These are both powerful breeds so it is vital that they get the exercise, training and socialization that they need. That they know you and your spouse are their pack leaders. Since you plan on having children in the near future I would also recommend that you start socializing them with children (all ages) as well.

If you're looking to buy from a breeder, look in newspaper/online classifieds, or even something like DogFancy magazine. Or you can adopt from PetFinder.com, search specific (breed, location, age, etc) it's an excellent place to find a new best friend! Most likely the pets on petfinder are mixes though, and if you're considering breeding you probably don't want that. I'm a mutt-lover myself and don't encourage breeding, but if you're a responsible breeder and not a puppy-mill it's your choice. ^-^

Contact some of the breeders for this breed. But if you rott is not registered they will not want to breed with her. And don't bring more puppies into the world just to be doing it. There are so many puppies now without homes.

Well, you could go to:

http://www.puppyfinder.com/

or

http://www.puppyfind.com/

you can find some dogs there.

If you don't want to go to those websites, then, ask a few friends, vets, neigbors and many more. But you can ask people with dogs. If you still don't want to, then, think of a great place of dogs, like pet stores. :) Hope it helps!
