I know that I should not argue with her, cause he can attack me to "defend" her.
She tickles him and when he laughs he show his fangs...

We want to get a dog for our family but we don't know what breed to go for. We work full time so the dog would be home alone for 9 to 10 hours every day. we want a SMALL dog that can be trained easily. We looked at teacup poodle and bichon but these 2 cannot stay alone for so long without being miserable. What kind of small breed could you recommend?

I sent pics. as well informing everyone promised, the pups arrived. Mom, (Cinny) first time Mom, did amazing, one of the easest births I have assisted I have assisted in several animal births, work with animals all the time, nothing new to me. I did make it well known to start with, to the promised owners I did not want them coming by for at least 2 weeks, with only me here, it is quiet and it needs to stay that way, Mom does not need to be excited. Again, I clearly stated this morning, repeating do not come by. I even called when these few people ignored this. Did they listen, NO. I am sure you can guess what was said, 1. You didn't mean me? 2. I burned gas getting here 3. to almost forced entry by means of trying to open the door with me blocking it. It caused Cin to become upset, of course. I was accused of caring more for a dog, (Right on the nail) at this point, to cursing me, I reminded them this was a curtiousy to them, that I own this home, amoung other things, was I wrong?!

My dog, Zoey, like when you scratch on her back by her tail. But when you get a closer look, there is a bunch of black stuff all over that area! It is so gross! I give her baths like 2 times a week but they are STILL there! I have a flea collar on her and she isn't old enough for frontline (I think). But it is just really gross. So anyone know what to do?

They say she is fine and not going blind, they dont care about her at all, i cant believe them, they are so irresponsible and i have said that to them, so what are the other signs of cataracts? maybe if she has more signs they will take her to the vet, plus the vet called like 3 months ago saying she is overdue for her shots, and they are too lazy to take her cause she's an inside dog and wouldnt get rabies or anyhting, again i cant belive how irresponsible they are, they should not own a dog, good thing im takin her with me when i move out, btw, im 16 and i dont have a job, so no money.

Ok, i need tips. My dog is 2 years old. I love him more then ever. He has been acting naughty though. My parents being lazy and skipping training are just going to give him away. It is unfair. They put him in his kenel when they at work for 7-10 hours. And expect him to hold whatever he has to. They are being unfair. Help!

He usually runs the yard in the daytime and he goes to a pond outback. Lately I have been bringing him in the house d/t the cold weather. I bought him a new pet bed and he gets rambunctious at nite while the family are sleeping and tears up everything.. newspapers, vacume hose, shoes, gets into the garbage. ripped up his new pet bed. Should I crate him at nite or what?

it was a very peaceful afternoon.
as i took out the other dogs for a early morning walk and left him with my fiance. i thought i take him for a long walk just the 2 of us. spend some quality time just the two of us. he was soooo very well behaved. i was amazed. he was let off leash and followed me around. we ran around together and then we went home.
he was fed pretty much immediately as he gets very moody when he is hungry and that is normally when he attacks the other dogs over toys or water etc.
he finished his entire bowl of 1 cup of dry food and two big spoons of wet food. which surprised me as he normally eats 3/4 of that but today he ate all.
he then got treats with the other dogs and he was very well behaved.
he even shared his pig ear with the other dog.
so i thought finally he would be calm and non-aggressive now. as it's been almost over a week since he last attacked my other dog. snapped but not attacked.
anyway i was about to put them to bed.

My puppy (well, she's about a year and a half) has a spot on her side that was thinning, and is now bald. Tonight all of a sudden she has started crying, like she would do if someone had stepped on her paw. She does it randomly, and it sounds as if she is in pain, but then will be fine. It's late so I can't take her anywhere right now, but I'm wondering if there might be something seriously wrong?

About keeping my golden retriever outside:

My first dog I got when I was very young, and my parents chose to keep her outside, letting her stay inside only when the weather was too cold. She was a golden retriever, and contrary to what I've heard, she did great as an outside dog. She had a closed in porch thing, and we never had her chained up, we had a shock collar, but she had two or tree acres to roam.
Now we're starting to look for another dog, I'm hoping to get another golden retriever. My parents will not allow the dog to stay inside the house, and I'm wondering if this will be okay. I wouldnt want to be inhumane to the dog, and I'm hoping it will be like my old dog, Praline. Please give me any suggestions.

Just a thought after reading the dog biting question, do you think it is safe for anyone to bite their dog? Maybe with a question like that you may want to warn other inexperienced dog handlers that this is not a good thing to do, unless you are experienced with dogs. Not that I will be trying it (I have no need to) but I am sure some ********will now try that and could end up with no nose, or is that something that would not happen? I am not judging it is just a thought.

My 9 yr. old shiba inu is acting really weird lately, she ahs always been protective of her treats(we have always been fine with that) but we got mice a couple days ago, so we put her food in the main room so she didnt go in the room with traps, all she does it sit in the room and stare at it, she never used to do that with their food in the basement, she was never even down there, and when any1 goes up to it she follows them and sometimes tries to bite, and today i kept telling her no biting and she was trying to act all sweet, and then whenever i moved my hand over a little she tried to attack it, like she didnt know it was the hand that was petting her a little while ago, also when my brother was walking she ful on tried to attack then again after that, so is she just protective over the food or is she going crazy, and what does dog blindness look like? her eyes look kind of like misty or are shiba's eyes supposed to be jet black, she seems to see our hands move from far away

Does anybody know of anybody who would have a Komondor dog up for adoption???
I am looking for an older dog. We would like a female, between 1 1/2 and 3 years of age. That has been around kids and has had some leash training. I am looking to train my own service dog. And I would like to have a Komondor dog as my service animal.
