Ok, i need tips. My dog is 2 years old. I love him more then ever. He has been acting naughty though. My parents being lazy and skipping training are just going to give him away. It is unfair. They put him in his kenel when they at work for 7-10 hours. And expect him to hold whatever he has to. They are being unfair. Help!

Why don't you take full responsibility for the dog. If you want to keep him so bad and he is so important then prove it. Don't keep him in the kennel that long. I am assuming that you are in school... take him out and take care of him when you get home. Show your parents that you are responsible and can take good care of him. You can also train him, training animals is not difficult, it just takes time and patience.

If you want the dog it will have to be your responsibility to see that it gets the care needed. If you take the steps to do this immediatly, your parents may let you keep him. If you are not willing, then let the dog go. It is not fair to keep it in a crate, that is why the dog is acting naughty. Try it yourself, see how long you could last being locked up 7-10 hours. Having a pet is a big responsiblity not just a fun fad.

Train the dog yourself if you want to keep him. Clean up after him and play with him before and after school and take him for a walk of at least 2 miles every day. If you can't do all this than you don't really love him and they might as well give him to someone that will care for him.

I want you to go eat a meal and drink a lot of water. Then go sit in your room for 8-10 hours without going to the bathroom. See how long YOU can hold it!

The other suggestions here are good. Walk your dog before you go to school and immediately when you get home. (And on your lunch hour if you live close enough.) Your poor dog will be grateful - and your parents won't have to deal with a bladder infection at the vet or the bill to go with it!

Sounds like your family is ready or willing to be a proper home for an animal. It's cruel to keep a dog crated for that long.

why can't YOU do anything?
pick up some books from the library and train him , abd take him out before and after school (and when u come home for lunch) to pee/poo and just let them know there's no logic to giving him away b/c they arent investing the time needed for a well behaved animal

Do the training yourself! you seem old enough to do the basics. and get a trainer if you have problems. either google some basic training or go to the library and get a book on it (the book maybe more helpful as you can refer to it if needed.)

Offer to help out with the dog, even if you have to sacrifice some of your free time.

unfortunately your parents have to be willing to give your dog more...it is not fair for your dog to be locked up so much.. I know it hurts but sometimes you have to think of what is best for your pet
