I immediately upon starting the training I take the alpha position, from that point on I just need to teach the dog what the meaning of what each word means. There is never any question if I will be obeyed. All this is achieved by using only eye contact and voice commands

1) Patience
2) Consistence
3) Persistence
4) Flexibility
5) Willingness
6) Aggression+Aggression=Escalated Aggression.

My dog is human aggressive, it is in the process of being "corrected" however it takes time. With people he knows he's exemplary, strangers scare the bejeesus out of him.

add: I'm opening myself up for attack here, however, I've had more positive results from a variation of the "method" Cesar Millan uses than any other method I tried. Not every approach will work with every dog and believe me, I research and reject things every day. His philosophy needs to be taken with a grain of salt, like everything else that is said in this world. Clicker training BTW works for some dogs but not all, as my dog happily demonstrated to a trainer who specializes in it's use.

"Positive is not permissive" - Susan Garrett.
I don't believe that positive reinforcement means that you're "babying" your dog or "treating it like a human" - two common false assumptions about positive "clicker" training.
Positive trainers set their dogs up for success by using current methods based on science. The fact that these methods are kind and clear to the dog, and help him or her to learn things quickly and without punishment, is another great reason to use these methods.

I look for behavior to reinforce and I reinforce it. If she needs a correction (she knows better or she's in danger), she gets one, but never anything extreme. I'm all about learning about strategies beforehand and being open minded about training theories. My dog is an angel for me... but she will try to outwit me to get her treats sometimes.
