I have an english bulldog whose about 17 months old. We have no children but recently my sister, her 3 kids and her female english bulldog (who is in heat) came to stay with us. He's very protective over the female dog and he snapped at my nephew while he was petting her. He also freaks out when the 1 year old cries and and kind of tramples on her when shes on the floor crying cause he knocked her over. I know hes not doing it on purpose but how do i teach him to be gentle with the kids and not hurt them?

Seriously, why would you guys get GitEmGang deleted? You all know you travel around the boards looking for this person. Why cant you just give a thumbs down and move on? I happen to enjoy some of the replies. I love to see the Idiots and BYB's get slammed. We all have a right to be here. Cant you just let it go?

I am becomming increasingly irritated by people who refuse to alter their pets. These are the same morons who generally post questions asking if their ***** is pregnant. What is the arguement against spaying/neutering, besides breeding? Why do some people refuse to alter their dogs? I simply do not understand this.

I bet if you ask the dogs they would rather fight for their life rather than be killed by gas!

I adopted a kitty about 6 months ago. He has been the apple of me & my fiances eye ever since. he is the biggest cuddle & love bug i have ever met. Love to sleep with us and just be cuddly.

About a month ago we introduced him to a Chi we got. The cat is bigger than the dog, and i can tell he is NOT happy he is here. They play around sometimes, but more often than not, the cat is terrorizing the dog..biting him, chasing him, getting him into a corner.

My dog is away overnight at the vet getting fixed and there has been a HUGE turn around in my kittys behavior! Hes so sweet again and relaxed and he hasnt left my side since i got home. I am sad to see the cat is so stressed about this new-comer.. it does not seem like our kitty is going to let up on giving this dog a hard time

Should we try and find the dog a new home ?

Or should we keep them both and just deal with our cats new behavior?

belgian malinois dogs are not popular in my country because german shepherds is much more recognized. i have seen a couple of belgian mainois dogs being used in police works. not that much as a family pet in my country.
is it a good watch dog and a guard dog in your house?

thank you in advance for the people
who will contribute their knowledge in my query.

I was told years ago by a friend of mine that if you give Alka Seltzer to a canine it tear up its inside. Here at work we were discussing about pooches eating the wrong stuff like chicken bones and such. I was told before that will kill seagulls, never seen it but I heard that numerous times. But about a canine, no one at works seems to know or heard of.

Is that true?

I dont see what is so wrong!!!
Im not talking about these back street breeders who do it for financial gain, im talking about genuine people who want to see the best brought out in their breed
I know that when my ***** is old enough and providing she is healthy with no defects i would def consider breeding her!
I just can understand why some people are so rude to others about this subject.

Im moving into a pet friendly apartment in a week. Right now the apartment I live in is NOT pet friendly. I just bought a new puppy and the pet store will only hold her until today.(I know, I know I shouldn't have bought her from a pet store) Anyways, do you think that it will be ok to sneak her into my apartment until moving day comes. She doesn't seem to be a barker.

I live in the UK where American Pit Bull terriers are illegal. Lately in the UK there have been a lot of highlighted cases about several pit bulls attacking children and killing them.

As I have a 3 year old son I have argued that no dog can ever be 100% trusted especially pit bulls as it is in their nature to attack. My boyfriend has said if you treat one nicely and rear it properly from a pup this will not happen. I have stated I will never allow us to keep a dog like that.

I have even gone as far as contacting the police as someone in my area kept allowing their staffordshire bull terrier off the lead and feel I should be able to walk my three year old without fear of an attack.

I would like any opinions of people who have kept these dogs and also what you think. I feel like a total paranoid freak but all these stories really scare me. Let me know as I have no experience with these dogs.

I have got 2 dogs. Both Shi-zu Cocker poos. The older male is fine. No accidents. The younger female is constantly going to the bathroom in her kennel. We walk them 3 to 5 times a day. She will go while on the walks. But then at night when we put her in the kennel, We wake up to a huge mess in the kennel. What would cause her to do this and how do we fix it. Its like she waits to get back in her kennel to go to the bathroom. HELP!!!
