Im moving into a pet friendly apartment in a week. Right now the apartment I live in is NOT pet friendly. I just bought a new puppy and the pet store will only hold her until today.(I know, I know I shouldn't have bought her from a pet store) Anyways, do you think that it will be ok to sneak her into my apartment until moving day comes. She doesn't seem to be a barker.

This question has nothing to do with where I bought her from. Also, I never paid a security deposit.

Well Cassie, looks like Get'emGang and JR have never made mistakes that made them look foolish. Poor buggers, just never learned to enjoy life did they?

Even so, you did make a pretty big screw-up.

I think you ought to offer the pet store a boarding fee, to keep the pup another week. If they refuse, you should see about boarding it with a vet.

Boarding won't be cheap, but it will probably be less than what you've paid in security and cleaning deposits.

I agree that buying from a pet store does tend to support puppy mills, but you might have gotten lucky and found a good dog. Just because a pup came from a puppy mill doesn't mean that it doesn't need love and affection. I've fallen victim to sad eyes, and active tongue, a wagging tail and an affectionate nature at pet stores myself, so I can't be too hard on you.

My only other suggestion is to speed up your move if possible. Best of luck to you and your new friend.

you can try, but you are taking a chance. We once lived in a non pet friendy apartment with a rabbit, cat and dog. If your caught, your lease may allow the owner to keep part of your security / damage deposit to clean carpet and treat for fleas. Since its only for 5 or 6 days, I would see if a friend or family member could keep her for you until you are moved in. All the hard work and excitement of moving would probably be easier without a small puppy underfoot. I have also heard lots of scary stories about movers dropping things on pups, or accidentally letting them out the door.

nicely, i do no longer ought to aid you already know that each and everything approximately paying for a puppy FROM A PETSTORE, once you reside in an residence that doesn't enable canines is a very undesirable decision! that is now going to be far extra good to domicile practice her in case you are able to no longer run her exterior quite a few situations an afternoon and supply her loud compliment for going exterior. i think it is going to ought to do. that is purely a week, yet you need to relatively think of issues through extra beneficial next time. maybe she could desire to stay with somebody who lives of their very own domicile for the the remainder of the week? that is form of risky to be moving with each and every of the doors establishing and shutting once you have a clean puppy to shield. because you're in the capacity of moving, a minimum of you will no longer ought to concern approximately getting evicted! you possibly can get charged a large style of money however if the puppy ruins something. i could propose having her stay the nights at a acquaintances domicile for the 1st little bit.mPuppy is going to be relatively at a loss for words approximately the place he lives ;(

You should have waited until you were settled into your new place. The moving around will be hard on you and the puppy. But since you didn't, looks like you'll have to take your chances and risk losing your security deposit.

Sure, but expect them NOT to want to return your security/damage deposit if they find out. Even if the dog's in there for a week, they can claim it was there longer and ruined the carpet.

Sneak her in. What are they going to do tell you that you need to move out. You already are. The most that will happen is they fine you. Don't even worry about it. Enjoy your new dog.

if you have someone that can mind her i would do that as puppies tend to howl at night when you first get them as they are not used to the place yet. they are never quiet so someone will probably hear her. also she may scratch doors ect and you will lose money.

Yea, just sneek her in! It will be fine, just try to keep her from barking constantly & pottying everywhere!

Good luck & congratulations on your new puppy!
