They say that only ten percent of allergies are food related, the rest are environmental (weeds, grasses, trees, fungi, house dust/mites, etc). The food ones can even be to lamb, rabbit, venison, potato, carrot, etc. It's not just beef, chicken, corn, wheat, etc...common ones. The only way to know for certain which one(s) are bothering your dog is an allergy test ($250, but you're likely to save money, effort and time). The best treatment for allergies is reducing/eliminating exposure to the allergens. The vet can prescribe steroids, but those shouldn't be used long term. There's also allergy shots (hyposensitization), but again, you would need to know what is bothering the dog. It's all trial and error without the test. If you do a search, you should find more information. Good luck.

Well, first I'd make sure the dog is on the best possible diet. I'd make sure the food was grain free... Evo and Nature's Variety both make grain free foods...

Good food supports a health immune system... which in turn will help with allergy problems. Since you don't mention what kind of allergy issues... skin, coat, itching, sneezing, etc... I can't give you any more specialized advice.
Good luck.

Make sure her food is free of most preservatives as well as corn, soy, and wheat. If the allergy seems to show up mostly on her skin, use an oatmeal scrub shampoo and a gentle conditioner when you bathe her.

Dog food might be the problem. Slowly change her food to one that is of good quality and has ingredients that have oils in them made especially for skin problems. I Have 2 Yorkies and feed them Nutro. The one in the PINK bag, small nuggets that keeps them in good health and their skin and hair in good condition. Also, you can bathe her in a good shampoo made for skin problems.
