My dog is acting strangely- she usually eats dried food but has always been a bit picky. Recently she has not really beeen eating it- i usually put a bit of meat in with it to get her to eat. Then she wolfs it down! But for the last few weeks every time she gets meat she poo's on the floor and sorry to be graphic but it is slimey and full of mucus stuff. Also this week she is malting loads (althouh it is hot and it could be that to)
I am really worried but scared of a huge vet bill which i cannot afford- we are financially going through a really hard time!
Any advice??

We just got back from vacation. She was away from us for the first time [5 days]. Now she will not fetch and "ball fetching" was the most important part of her life. She seems healthy...she's eating, etc however she seems scared of the ball now. Another possible contributor; we just moved [3 weeks ago]. She's a beautiful and loving 1 year old red nosed pitbull. Her brother [who we own as well] is not experiencing this behavior. She's a bit needy....could this be psychological?

I'm looking to buy a nice leather collar for my cousin's chubby beagle, who is about 35lbs and slightly larger than an average beagle. I don't have any dogs myself so I don't know what size I should get, so thanks for any help!

on wed,the 4th there was a free bone/treat in the dog food bag.
it was kind of chewy/hard I split it between my 2 dogs. within maybe 20 minutes there was no trace of it. on friday mj the chihuahua acted like she didn't feel good. she went to the bathroom it was softer than normal but not dirreha. Sat she was playing, drinking, eating, etc. Today she is like she was friday although i haven't seen her have a bowel movement. i am just wondering maybe she didn't chew that treat up good enough and it might have cause her to get plugged up. She ate grass in the a.m but she hasn't really eaten, she has drank a little water. the heat is awful with the heat index of101 she hasn't been outside since its gotten that high. Sometime she shivers and sometimes she panting

My pomeranian is suffering from Chronic Renal Failure. I have prescribed food, however, it is common for dogs suffering from this disease to become very picky. I have been using chicken broth and chunks of baked chicken to mix with her food. Does anyone know of any thing else I can feed her that is allowed in her condition/

I wanted to ask someone if they knew what to do in this situation. I know someone who has a dog. He is a one year old mix breed. He is very big and very friendly. I have an oppurtuity to have this dog. But the problem is that he has been kept in a kennel for 90% of his life. I think he might be going crazy. When let out he runs around likes to jump on people (I know this is to expected.) My question is, do you think there is a chance I can save him and make him "normal" again? Or is there no hope? People with special knowledge or experiences with this are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!!!

I recently adopted a pregnant boxer because the shelter thought that she had already had her pups and was going to put her to sleep. I can tell that she's pretty far into her pregnancy, and I've been watching her really closely, but I wanted to know if there's a way to tell when the big day might be.

PLEASE NO INSULTS, I'VE HELPED PREGNANT DOGS GIVE BIRTH BEFORE, AND I'M PLANNING ON KEEPING ALL OF HER PUPS NO MATTER WHETHER SHE HAS ONE OR FOURTEEN BECAUSE I HAVE THE MEANS TO).

thanks.

My Great Dane had 2 knee surgerys and I need to get him on some anti-inflamtory/painreliever like Rimadyl that don't cost me a fortune every month with bad side effects. I only want pills also because my other dog got into the Rimadyl chewables on day and almost killed herself. He is very stiff and lacks muscle in that leg so he doesn't always bear weight. I have him on 21st century pet health "Healthy Joints and Hip" with Glucosamine Hydrochloride. The ingredients are Glucosamine Hyrodchlorie, Vitamin C, Zinc, Manganese, Coppr, Cellulose, Geltain, Liver meal, Magnesium Sillicate, Magnesium Stearat and Stearic Acid. They don't seem to be helping. He's cost me over $3k this year so i'm very low on funds, so something thats not gonna cost me over $30 a month woul be nice. He had his second surgery about 4 months ago.
