"get off of the computer, haul your butt outside and start walking and call her name as you walk. you won't find her sitting on your butt in front of your computer."
Thank you for reminding me to write this, I cant look for her until 12:00 EST tomorrow, July 8 because I am out of town.

Oh, She escaped from the yard of the person who was watching her. But don't blame the dog-sitter, his entire yard is un-diggable and 99.99% escape proof.

I would suggest having the dog sitter look for your dog. Does your dog sitter live anywhere near where you live? I know that you are not home at this time, but the sooner you start looking, the better the out come in most cases. Have the dog sitter look not only in their area, but also in the area you live too. You say this yard is unescapable. How big is she? Could she have possibly jumped the fence? Maybe someone entered and stole her. You have to think of every possible thing that could happen. Good Luck finding your dog. I know how you feel. I have lost a dog in the past, but luckily we found her. She was laying on our porch the next morning waiting for us to let her in. What had happened was, we hook our dogs out to go potty in between walks. She is so friendly with everyone, someone came up in our yard and cut the cable. We were home at the time. That is why I said think of every possible situation, including someone stealing her. Good Luck!

According to the American Animal Hospital Association's 1995 Pet Owner Survey, roughly 30 percent of pet owners have lost a pet at one time. With that in mind, we offer these tips for finding your pet.

Five Things To Do
If you lose your pet, here are the first five things you should do:

1.Rally your family and friends and go looking. This is especially important if you realize soon that the pet is missing.

2.Call your veterinarian. If your pet is wearing a rabies tag on its collar, the tag number often can be traced to your veterinarian who can then help reunite you with your lost pet.

3,Call every animal shelter or humane organization in your area. Visit the most likely shelters in person because you know your pet better than anyone else. Keep checking daily!

4.Check with neighbors and put up signs around your neighborhood (or area the pet was last seen) that include a photo or description of your pet, your phone number, and how long your pet has been missing.

5.Call your local newspaper and place a "lost pet" ad. Also check the newspaper daily for "found pets" ads. Often they will print found ads for free.

i'm really sorry to hear that, i know it hurts to lose your pet. the best way to start looking is get outside and call her name with a favorite toy and treat. dogs are usually not far from their homes. if that doesn't work, start printing out posters with the dogs name, picture, and your phone number on it. post them all over your neighborhood and in places like the community pool, supermarket, etc. good luck finding your dog!

She is most likely near wherever you lost her.
Look for her. Drive around slowly calling her name. tell any neighbors and passersby that you are looking for her. Re-trace your steps around where she was lost.
