Get them spayed and neutered next week. It's not like she's even pregnant yet.

It may be possible that your dog is not pregnant, although the odds are that she may be. The point is that you really cannot know for sure. I'm sure you had reasons for spading your dog in the first place, so go back to your original reasons.
There are many health issues that can come from inbreeding animals. You obviously were being a responsible dog owner by making the appointment to spade your dog. If it were my dog, I would continue with the appointment. If the dog were further into a pregnancy, I might have second thoughts, but at this point you don't even know for sure.
If you have a concern with aborting, ask your vet not to tell you if your dog happens to be pregnant. That way, you're just being a responsible owner.

I have seen first hand what happens with this situation occurs, and it results in puppies that have serious problems. Four out of 7 in one litter died in the first 3 weeks; these dogs were in a shelter and very well cared for. Go ahead and get her spayed and save the mother dog from losing one or more of her puppies. It was horrible seeing the mother dog I viewed with its dead pups pulled close to her. This is not the time to inject your own personal morals into the life of an animal. Have her spayed very soon!

What I would do is contact a vet immediately and tell them your situation. They should know what to do and it is very bad if two animals of the same family should mate. The puppies could have health problems when they grow older. Keep with your idea with spaying and neutering the dogs. I hope this helps.

Humans are animals.Animals will always have sex with other animals. We are on a planet travelling through space at 327,000 km an hr and humans have only been on this Planet for 3 minuets in the 12 month evolutionary calendar .What is a law and who makes it ? Humans don t make any laws, nature governs everything and govern s when we will all die.Nature doesn t care if you have sex with a dog, neither does the universe. Do what you want. Nature doesn t punish you for having sex with animals apart from getting a disease but that s your friends own risk. Did you friend put a condom on the dog ? Who cares.

Get her spayed within the next few days. Any vet will do this asap if you expalin the situation. A brother and sister producing pups is asking for a whole heap of trouble. There could be endless genetic problems.
Ger the male neutered too as planned.

Go on with the spay appointments. The pups don't grow that fast, so you really won't be aborting anything but an egg. Better to do it now that wait until it's too late and the puppies actually start to grow.

I would suggest going ahead and getting tehm fixed as planned.
Sometimes the pups can actually look fine and live but you never know mentally and physically might be going on. I don't think it's worth the chance.
I myself don't believe in abortions but sometimes it's better when it comes to dogs.
I myself like wolf hybreds but as I'm sure you know they can sometimes be unpredictable and you don't need the problem of inbreeding. Would you feel comfortable seling or giving away the pus not knowing might happen to someone???
Good Luck

You can go ahead with the spay, which will prevent the pups. The chances of genetic problems in any offspring and the chances of the female not surviving the whelping are too great for me to advise otherwise.

when you go to get her spayed and if she is pregnant they will do what is called a pregnant spay which yes they will abort the babies. but spay and neutering them will be for the best pregnant or not. sad yes but we dont need any more puppys in this world.
