This morning while I was in the kitchen, I dropped my puppy's 6 lb bag of food on the floor (it wasn't that close to her but close enough to scare her). My 14 week old puppy was so scared that she ran into the other room and sat in a corner. Then she would not come back into the kitchen, wouldn't play with her toys or eat her breakfast. She is now down for her nap. Will she forget about it when she gets up? Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do if she is still scared? Thanks!

my pup is 5 months old... its getting hard for me to train him to poop outside because now i have to wait longer for him to poop.. like 3 hrs or more....

Before(when he was younger), after eating, it only takes a few minutes i think, for him to finally poop... until now... it already took him 3 hrs or so to poop...

IS THIS TRUE???

do you have poop training tip for me?

... it eats my time to wait 3hrs.. help...

Hi everyone!

A while back, my 96 lb dog, Charlotte, was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. My vet put her on Doxicycline. She had a violent allergic reaction to it. We decided to wait until she started exhibiting signs of the disease. Recently, she started acting run-down and we went back to the vet. Our vet put her on Amoxicillin. I've been cautiously giving her a Half-dosage (500 mg). Charlotte has been itching and panting and doesn't have fleas, etc. I just checked her over and saw small red spots in the areas where I could see her skin.

Neither of us have slept for a few days due to her discomfort. Can I give her Benadryl to ease her symptoms and does anyone know what can be done for her Lyme? She's so sweet-this is awful. Please help us!

Here are Petcentric photos of her (and me-LOL!!):

Thanks! :) & ^..^

I walked out in the yard this morning to see my dog throwing up- with big pieces of grass in it. I give him 1.5 cups of IAMS a day and he is 23lb. Is he eating the grass because he is hungry or just stupid (as much as I love him:P)?

Well, maybe its not a problem. I'm having trouble with the little guys behavior. I don't want him to misbehave with people. He likes to bite, cause he thinks "I'm playing", or maybe "I'm stronger than you", actually, I don't know what the F he's thinking, ever. He has more energy than an energizer battery. I run around with him a bit, in the morning and at night, I bring him in, and he just doesn't stop till we get him back in the crate. We are taking a behavior class soon, but what can I do to improve his behavior in the interim? (specifically the biting of hands and cloths and other friendly people)

I've seen the two extremes, so I'm looking for opinions. Some people think it's providing food and water on a fairly regular basis. Others think you must live in a house, with a large fenced yard, no children under a certain age and someone home at all times.

My personal feeling is that there *are* minimum requirements, but they aren't the same for every dog. Dogs deserve good homes - but they also *need* homes, period. The blind 12 year old Lhasa Apso who sleeps all day but likes to cuddle in the evenings, who's last owner died of old age, needs a home, too.

But, what are *your* thoughts on this?

When I went to the store yesterday ,I gave my dog a new treat, a Zwenkie, but she also found a sparkler my daughter didn't know she had lost,so I don't know which one is making her sick, I gave her some milk but what else can I do. She used the bathroom yesterday evening and this morning her stomach was upset both times, and this morning she has vomited twice, She is sleeping now. But what should I do?

Could anyone out there who are vets or dog owners, tell me why my little Jack Russel dog, likes to eat blades of grass, when he is out walking; he gets lots of exercise, eats well, sleeps well, and is full of energy, no problems with going to the toilet, but seems to my mind to do more than his share of scratching, but has no fleas! he is wormed regularly. would be grateful for any advice, Thanks.

My 10.5 month old labs hips sound like they're clicking when he walks. There are no other obvious signs of what I think may be hip dysplasia and vet says he couldnt find anything wrong with him whe he stretched his back legs, but the clicking is constant each time he walks. Occasionally his 2 back legs move at the same time when running but this seems normal when looking at other retrievers, and he moves in a snake like manner. He's occasionally slower in running than other dogs but mainly smaller ones. Vet hasnt done an xray and charged me £70 to tell me nothing really wrong, bit lame in bottom of leg and to give him rest and painkillers for a week so am reluctant to take him back if its nothing. Any tips?

Is this a premium dog food? Read the ingredients and it seems to not have corn and other allergens. First ingredient listed is lamb. Anyone with positive or negative experiences with this brand? Thank you.

I took my dog camping with me saturday night and he had a blast but since ive been home sunday AM he's been sleeping all day, all night and now it's monday AM and he's decided to go back to bed. I have a boxer so this is very odd cause boxers are usually energetic.
He hasnt ate any food or drank any since since ive been home.
Last night he was ancy up and down off the bed.
Does anyone know of any signs that maybe he is sick. He was fine the whole time camping just once we got home he was lifeless.
His nub ( doced tail) is downwards not up, and his nose does seem to be dry but i dont know if that means anything.

Okay. It's 3:30 in the morning, and I hear this weird noise. I wake up my mom, and it's coming from my 20 pound daushaund terrier.

It sounds like he's farting. But it's inside his stomach. He's alert, but can't seem to get comfortable anywhere. He's also whining and looking at his stomach with a confused look.

He acts like he wants to throw up, but he can't seem to get it out. His stomach is not bloated, but I can feel where it's doing this.

SOMEONE HELP ME!!

I'm not sure if I even want to breed him but my brother has a female that he brings over every once & while. They play well together & now I'm thinking of getting a female, so I'm thinking that it would a good idea to get him papered if possible, so that if puppies where to come about they'd be able to be AKC'd.
