I have a golden retriever and a dachshund. Both of them get one egg each once a week. What are the benefits of eggs? I knew this once but forgot. Thanks for answering.

My dog (7 months) recently sprained his leg (2 weeks ago). My vet is on vacation so I cannot ask when he will be able to go for a walk again. He was under the vets care and has been treated conventionally and holistically and has received some chiropractic care. Just curious as to how long I should wait. Thanks!

So I have an American Pit-bull Terrier. I got him at eight weeks, I started training him the minute he got home. He was doing very well up until now, he is 4 1/2 months old. He has started to become unruly, when I get mad at him and tell him "No!" in a stern firm voice, he will start barking at me as if I am playing. He also gets a little aggressive with my other dog, whom is a 2 1/2 year old spayed American Staffordshire/Pit-bull Terrier, female, she is very tolerant of him and never nips him back or gets mean towards him. This happens when they are playing. When this happens I separate him from her and tell him "NO!" I then put him in his kennel. I did not want to use the kennel for bad behavior, but it seems to be the only way he'll learn. He is getting nuetered this upcoming monday, and I hope it will tone him down a bit. But what can I do in the mean time to help his behavior, if I can at all?

I just posted this question:
My puppy has had diarrhea for the last 2 days and I don't know why. I haven't changed her dog food or changed anything at all in the way that she eats. I dunno if it would make a difference but she has been eating grass outside. What could be the cause of this? I DO NOT have the money to take her to the vet so what can I do as a home remedy to help her?
First off let me say that the people who were downing me for not having the money right now and saying I shouldn't have gotten the dog have no idea what is going on with my life this instant that I'm strapped finacially, so DON'T post any of those comments.
Additional info that may be helpful:
She is 7 months old, and she is still running around the house like a nutcase like she always does. Her diarrhea is mild, a pudding like texture. So what can I do from home? Pepto?

My dog had to have eye surgery ($1,000) due to my friends cat. It happened while she was watching my puppy at her house (I was out of state). She took her to an emergency vet, where she had to pay $400 upfront for the eye surgery and medicine. I paid the remaining $300 plus more medicines and my dog still needs more surgery and still may lose her eye completely. She now wants me to pay her for the $400 she's out when this all happened because of her cat and while the puppy was in her care. I understand accidents happen but I do not believe I should have to pay for her mistake (especially when I will be spending much more than $400 by the time this is over with). I never asked her to pay for anything else (although sometimes I think I should have!) and feel she should be responsible for more than $400. Isn't she LEGALLY required to pay for at least half? What actions do I take as the pet owner and what is she legally responsible for?

My dog, hes 9 years old, he has really bad arthritis. He's been doing good but lately his back right paw is so bad he can't even walk. I don't want to resort to getting him put down just yet because he's gotten better before but it hasn't really been this bad. Does anyone know if it's safe to use Bengay on his leg? I would definitely sit with him and make sure he doesn't lick it...but is it safe?

I have a lovely 1YO female Papillon dog. I have but one big problem with her; she is extremely bully-like to my 3YO male Yorkshire Terrier.

She knows she is not dominant over me and I think she is taking all that "I want to be the boss" attitude out on my Yorkie. If I find him doing something bad and say "no" she will go and bite him on the ear, disciplining him for me! If he is doing something that I do not like my dogs to do (stealing shoes, socks, stuffed animals, etc.) she will bite him on the ear and discipline him for me, even if I do not say a word!

If I'm walking through a door and my yorkie happens to go out before I do, my papillon will nip him on the ear for something so minor.

She also hates it when I cuddle him. If she ‘thinks’ I’m not looking, she will even nip him for ME cuddling him. He does nothing wrong in this case! And then when I discipline her, she rolls on her back and squirms all weird like- even if I say a simple “no”.

Comical, but I don't like it.

I have a 4 month old pit bull puppy and in a few months I am going to get her spayed. While she is under for the surgery I was wondering if I should have her dew claws removed. I asked my vet and she said that it could be done at the same time as the spaying. Is it nesscarry to have these removed? Our other dog who is a Queensland has his and has never had a problem with his.
