We just got the puppy and we want to know if it is a good idea to keep them as an inside pet? We want to find out as much info about him as we can so we can decide if we want to keep him.

My step dad absolutely HATED my dog so he gave her to sisca (but told me that he had given her to a friend that lives around here). So I didnt know at the time that she was being put in a shelter.. i just now found out while going through my moms e-mail.. i know.. im so bad :]

anyways.. so i was wondering if the montgomery county sisca puts down their animals if they are not being sold..

im sure that my dog was sold

she doesnt bark.. nice coat.. doesnt bite.. just an all around good doggie

thank you

bye

Since I'm definitely now going to breed my pug, i'm thinking of getting her spayed. But a lot of people say that there are a lot of bad side effects of getting her spayed.
They say that she could get fat, etc. ?
but it's only been 3 days since she's gone into heat and i'm tired of it already!
help..

My wife and I just got this great dog. He is three years old and his owner had to move and could not take where he was moving to. He is a cross between a yorky and a schnauzer. Seams to be very smart. Already house broken. But when I call for him, he just sits there. lol. So, how do you teach him to come to you when you call for him? Thanks.

My pit had complications after having the puppies, there was a blockage in one of her nipples (I think it was bacterial or something). We gave her meds and had to fed the pups without her help. We sold the puppies shortly after that, however her nipples still have not gone back to normal. Is this normal?? I really am not sure. If not what do I need to do? People stop us and ask where her babies are, so it makes me think that it is not normal. Please help.

We have a 9 week old puppy and all he wants to do is bite everything! We have got him toys and things to play with but he keeps biting me and his bite is getting pretty hard! He is still quite young so training him isn't the easiest either.... please someone tell me that he will stop doing this!

I have three six-week old jack russell terriers. I am taking them to get vaccinations this week (along with the mother), and I was wondering if anyone knows the average cost of vaccinating puppies at that age? I just want to know in general (sometimes there is an unpleasant woman working at the vet office I go to, and I'd rather not speak to her over the phone...) Thanks!

This is Kiko and she is 1 years old and 4 months. She weighs 50lbs and is incredibly strong and muscular. She loves to chase things. Just wondering what people thought she might be because everytime we go for a walk people ask me what kind of dog she is and I say a mutt. Hahaha. So help me give them a better answer. :-) We got her from the shelter and love her very much!
Here's her most recent mug shots. Thanks

Once I start my new job and get situated again, I was looking to adopt a retired racing greyhound. Does anybody out there own one of these dogs? They seem to be very compassionate, quiet, and intelligent. I would love to have a new companion and also give a little life a second chance. Does anyone know about where I would find resources to adopt one of these dogs? Do they require any special medical attention seeing that they are ex-racers? What are their cute and funny quirks that are unique to their breed? I'd love any information on this! Thanks a lot :)

My dog is 6 months old and he has always had this problem. He seems to get so overly excited that he just pees. It doesnt matter if he is outside or inside as soon as he sees anybody a stranger or someone he knows he goes ballistic and pees everywhere. Its most embarassing when he comes downstairs and sees someone he knows and jumps on them and pees. He doesnt even seem to notice he is doing it. I have tried getting him to sit before he greets someone but he just seems to reach this point of excitement where he doesnt seem to hear me. Also we cannot let him off the lead as he doesnt come back at all. He has no road sense and just runs. He just doesnt seem to care. I have tried treats and toys to get him to come back but he just thinks its a game and runs off from me. He just seems so easily distracted. Everyone says that he is like a child with ADHD. I am worried as we are going to Wales with him for a holiday in September and if he escapes there i dont know what will happen.

My puppy has been suffering from seizures, and we're at the point of figuring out what's wrong with him. My vet told me that if my puppy were to have more than one seizure, or in other words, one right after another, it would become a crisis situation. My question to you is, How do I know that he is having more than one seizure? I mean, does he stop having a seizure and then seconds later has another one?

If a pregnant ***** starts showing early, is it a sign of a big litter, or could she just be gaining extra weight with all the food she consumes during that time period?

Please just honest answers, no insults, just wanted to know...
