This is called submission peeing. He may grow out if it in time and he may not. The best thing to do for this is to make sure that when you first come into the house to ignore him. Anyone that comes to the house have the also ignore him. If you have too, and you know company is coming over, try gating him in another room until he calms down a bit. Also you should never have any dog off leash, unless they are in a well fenced in area. Take some obedience classes too. This will help you get better control and have him listen to your comands.

It's called submissive urination, and it is not something he has control over. Dogs will do this when excited, especially when greeting. It is their way of showing submission to the other person (or dog). It is best to tell people not to talk to or greet the dog in any way until he has had a chance to calm down. Many dogs eventually outgrow this as they gain confidence and maturity. For more info see:

As far as him running off, keep him on a leash! It's not worth losing him to a car accident or getting lost, is it?? It's not that he doesn't care, he just doesn't understand the come command, and needs to be trained!

don't get all excited once you greet him. It won't harm his thoughts, in basic terms supply him a single pat on the top in acknowledgment and wait until he calms down until now cuddling and making a fuss over him. The extra excited you're once you come back in, the extra excited he would be... hence the extra pee. you additionally can prepare desenstizing him on your coming and bypass. for the time of the day, walk out the door each now and then. Wait a couple of minutes, then come back in. ignore on the subject of the canine complelty while doing this. shop calm and act like it particularly is not any vast deel. ultimately your canine will seize on.

tell guests to not pay attention to him..it diffuses his excitement and he will stop weeing ...if he jumps up for attention, have folks turn their backs on him, dogs like to jump up where they can see faces...so he will quit that too if he does it at all, usually peers also jump up.
