From my knowledge on this I'd say this is a sign of any of the following:

Infectious agents, such as bacteria, protozoa, viruses, and intestinal parasites
Dietary intolerance/allergy/indiscretion
Cancer (neoplasia) of the lower bowel
Polyps (benign masses) in the colon or rec

One of my dogs begin having blood in the stool, it turned out to be cancer. So you should most definitely take it to a vet asap.

PLEASE don't get one. You can find a friendly, loyal, lovable dog at a shelter at a much cheaper price, and you will have the pleasure of knowing that you will have saved it's life. Here are my reasons for saying this. 1. A "cockapoo" isn't a true breed. It was invented by people who want to make some quick money, took a cocker spaniel and a poodle, mated them, and called their puppies cockapoodles. A lot of people think this is an actual breed due to the media's support, but it is a crossbreed, a mix, a mutt. 2. You will very probably end up with a cockapoo anyway if you visit a shelter. Only without the fancy name. 3. From a shelter it will be cheaper. 4. The puppies are not the same -some look like cockers, others like poodles, others like both. 5. MUCH cheaper in a shelter, same quality or better. P.S.:I hope I didn't come off as a know-all or something. No offence meant. :D Oh and P.P.S.: Are you planning to breed them? Please take a poodle as a mate if you do. And think it over, it's a serious choice, with lots of responsibility. But if you decide to breed (again, please choose a poodle, or you'll have to call the puppies cockapoodledoodles, lol), be careful, be moral, be responsible, find good homes beforehand, and good luck! :D P.P.P.S.: (Dear God) And PLEASE don't buy from a pet store!

It could be an intestinal blockage from something she ate, in which case you should get her to a vet TODAY.

It could be that she has a really serious condition where the bowel turns in on itself or twists. In which case she needed to see a vet yesturday.

It could be she is just a nervous dog and has a form of irritable bowel syndrom - I have a dog like that.

It could be the worm load in her was really severe and she's having problems.

It could be any number of things. I really highly suggest you call a vet today, they will probably ask you to bring in a sample and test it for a modest fee. They might also ask to see the dog, if they do I would do it, especially if this is something new and not on going. It could be nothing, or it could be cancer or something really bad - so why risk it?

At 6 years old I do know it's not parvo, maybe distemper?

You should take her to the vet. Take a fecal specimen to the visit so they can check it for parasites. It could be a parasite that wasn't killed by the type of dewormer you used. Or even worse there could be a growth or irritation causing it. The vet should diagnose and treat this type of problem. Don't wait, go very soon.

We don't KNOW, not even a vet would know this without examining the animal and possibly running tests!

Take the dog to a vet. Obviously there's a problem here, blood should stay inside the body and when it doesn't, there's something wrong - and no one on here can tell you what!

Take her to the vet immediately. Don't ask Yahoos for advice about anything that involves blood coming out where it shouldn't.

Bloody stools. Take her to the vet immediatley, my cocker spaniel cross poodle (spoodle) had bloody stools and we rushed him to the vet. Someone had fed him rat bait (not us) and if we hadn't of taken him to the vet he would of died, if we had of waited half an hour he would of died. This is SERIOUS, you have to take her NOW.
