First of all, there is NO SUCH THING as a teacup Chihuahua. I have included links to the breed standard and a statement on "teacups." That is nothing but a marketing term used to take your hard earned money. I've seen several of them that were over eight pounds! Must have been a BIG teacup!

Concerning Pugs, they are adorable dogs but I would never have one around my Chihuahuas. Pugs are much bigger and very strong and a little Chihuahua could be seriously hurt or even killed even though the Pug was just playing. You would be better off to get another female Chihuahua. They will be great friends. Chihuahuas generally love their own kind.

Maybe you could get them at the same time if the Chi was a regular or a little larger one, instead of a teacup one. Chihuahuas are fragile, but there are ones that are 10 lbs or so, and they'd probably be okay with a pug. Just don't get a pug who's really large for his age. Maybe look on petfinder.com and see if you can get a pair there? If you got them a few months older, they'd both be stronger and better suited to each other.

No such thing as a "teacup" anything. If anyone is advertising a "teacup" -- RUN. Your getting the runt or a breeding or runt to runt which would result in a lot of health issues. I would suggest you read up on owning a pug and a chi. Pugs have a lot of health issues and in my opinion are to be babied (I have one)

I have a pug puppy and I would say a definite YES to that question. Pugs are very strong for their size and have very strong jaws. Just playing together would be dangerous for the teacup.

no but first thing yo need to realize before you are scammed out of your money is there is only two kind of chihuahuas and that is long and short hair.
there is no such ting as teacup or miniture.
Second my sister had both as pups she left them in the crate together well she went to have lunch but to her surprise when she went back to check on them the pugs eye had totally popped out of it's socket. She took the pug straght to the vets and the eye had to be removed. The vet told he that this is common with pugs it only takes a small bump in the right way to pop a pugs eye out so be careful.

If you get a Chi that is just a week or so older, then they might be able to learn to play nicely together. My neighbor has a chi that plays with my Golden... and there is no problem (except when my Golden steps on the Chi by accident ... but it is not as bad as when the neighbor trips over her own Chi, herself.

Yes. Esp. if you get a teacup chihuahua b/c that just means they are sickly and a runt. Besides chi's prefer each other, and are the only breed of dog that recognizes thier own breed.
