I have a vet appointment tomorrow but how can I check her to see if she needs more immediate care? She seems to be okay, no limping or anything, but it was a pretty serious crash and I'm already really sore in my neck and back.

We had a lawn laid at Easter, it looked great until brown patches started appearing. We realised it is where the dog wees. Is there anything we can do to stop this happening? It has already been suggested that we get rid of the dog, which we won't do. Anyone know of anything we can give him? I know it is usually bitches that cause this, he was neutered at 6 months and maybe this has affected his hormones?

Okay...I have a female rommate. I have a dog and she has a dog. I get home from work at 5pm and she won't get home until 6pm. I HATE WALKING HER DOG!! I have been walking it to be nice for about 1 year now. I feel bad because she does not take her dog for walks EVER. I mean, ever in like 2 times in one year. So, instead of letting her out back in our super small yard, I just take her dog with me. She also works on Saturday, so I really have no other choices but to walk her dog. Plus, her dog has had an issue w/ shitting in the house...so, I'd like to keep my roommate from beating her as well.
I enjoy that she would let my dog out back, or feed him if ever need be(heck, even watch him if I'm out of town visa/versa though) So, we both need each other.
However, should I tell her to start walking her own darn dog after work? I could let it out back while I walk mine. I feel like she'll get pissed and I could lose the benifit of her taking care of my dog when need be. HELP ME!

This sounds a little bit gross but...

I have a cocker spaniel and a kitten (the kitten is just about a year old and the puppy is 8.5 months old).

The Cat is in heat right now, and when I went to take the puppy out to use the potty earlier, I noticed that she's got a little bit of blood coming out from that area, like she might be on her period.

I took her to the vet for her checkup last week and they said that everything was great with her, so as of last Wed. she didn't have any problems, do you think this may just be her 'period' or is that not common???

My dog Sasha is a 17 year old Keeshound. Yes, she is old. She was supposed to be put to sleep a few months ago but we wanted to give her a second chance to get a little better. See, her problem is that her minds still young but her body is failing and now she can't hold her bladder and she cant walk good at all. She can at times not even stand. My dad made an appointment tomorow. Im really scared for Sasha. Will they hurt her? Will she know whats going on? I love her more than anything and I dont want her to be killed. Why didnt she die on her own like shes supposed to? Is she not ready to die? Please help :(

I'm looking for recommendations for a medium sized, good with kids (current ages 1, 3 & 8 years old), minimal shedding (possible allergies in the household) dog to complete our family. I welcome your suggestions!

I'm looking for a good breed to guard my property from intruders. My house/ garage has been broken into a few times and my Chow, while intimidating with all it's barking and growling doesn't really do much. I've had rottweilers and pitbulls before, which both did the job really nicely. Unfortuanetly, we now have a city ordinance banning pitbulls.

I was thinking about another rottweiler, but there were a few more breeds I've heard good things about and got curious. Neapolitan mastiffs come to mind. Also have heard positive stuff about German Shepherds and Dobermans. The bigger the dog the better, I can handle exercising and socializing the dogs just fine, it's just a matter of picking the best deterrent.

I live in the Hutchinson Area, but would go anywhere in kansas or kansas city MO. I would also be fine with a rescue dog. I would prefer a rescue dog over a dog beeder. But either would be fine.

If you llok on page 15 or 16 my other question was called Agility Help. Go to it.

I put the poles in a stagered patter and I got her to run down the middle.

Then I put them in a straight line, but I only put four on the ground for now. I weaved my hand through the poles and she followed correctly. Then, I made her sit, stay and I went to the opposite side of the poles and called her, but she just went around them. I have been working on this with her since 11:00.

What do you suggest I do next to get her to weave through the poles on her own?

Hello. I have 2 pitbull terriers. One is a female full Pitbull Terrier, the other is a male Boxer/Pitbull Terrier. I have always wanted a smaller dog to include in the family. They get a long great with smaller dogs, they've been socialized with my brother's Yorkie/Chihuahua mix. What do you recommend is the best small dog? I was considering one of the three: Chihuahua, MinPin, or Yorkie. Though a Yorkie may be too small, I think. Any ideas?

She is bloated and very tired and she got her worm treatment a couple of hours ago. She is only a pup and weighs less than 4 pounds if that makes a difference. When should I expect her to start feeling better?

I adopted my Boxer/Pitbull mix (now 2 yrs old) from an adoption center a year ago. Upon adopting him, they said he was found tied with a rope to a fence. When I looked at his neck, it appeared healthy, but the hair had been rubbed away from the rope. They mentioned the hair will not grow back. He's got a lot of hair on his neck that already covers it up, but I can see where it's been rubbed away when I lift his hair. Anyway, it's been maybe 2 months, and I've noticed irritation along that area, more so in what would be considered the chest area. It's red and scablike and occasionally I catch him scratching at it, causing it to bleed. It seems like a rash, but I don't know where he could have gotten it from. He only wears a collar (never a choker chain or a rope) when we go out to the park, or petsmart, or into the backyard. I'm worried, and want it to go away. Any suggestions as to what it might be? And how I might be able to treat it?

When we go for a walk he'll sniff around forever and then he'll come to a spot and rub his face all over it. What does this mean?

My jack russell, Reggie, is just a little over 6 weeks old and he gets carried away with biting my husband and I. He keeps going after our fingers, toes, and clothes. I know he's only being playful, but I'd really like to know how to get him to stop chewing on us before it turns into a big problem. He has plenty of toys to chew on, but really prefers our hands (ouch!). What should we do???
