I have had my 2 dogs on Nutro for awile now and they both love it. It has no wheat & corn in it. It is also great for their coat. Both of their coats are shiny.

Canidae is the best dog food ever! It is organic and it is what the American guide dog association in Southern California feeds to their animals. My dog responded so very well to this food. I could see a difference in his health and his coat. I have a boxer and he has been enjoying their food since he was 12 weeks old (he is now two). Check out their website I think you'll be impressed with their products.

I noticed several people suggested Nutro Max. I would not suggest giving this to your dog. When I purchased my boxer and another dog from a highly regarded animal store they were both eating Nutro Max. Their poop was always a bit runny, and it stunk so very bad! Even when they would fart I thought I was going to drop dead! Once both animals were switched to Canadae this problem went away. They also became much more regular.
One last note. I would not suggest giving you dog wet food on a regular bases. According to my vet wet food is horrible for animals teeth. It sits on their gums and teeth for an extended period of time and tends to cause gum disease and tooth decay.

Canidae ALS (all life stages) www.canidae.com
My 16wk lab has had this her whole life, and will continue to! It has no additives or fillers, no gluton (which was the cause of the recalls) human grade ingredients, etc.
check out their website for the ingredients and to learn a bit about the company.
The food isnt all that expensive either.
My pups coat is shiny and silky soft, she has loads of energy and is a great weight. It has been an awsome food for her.
Also, chicken soup for the puppy lovers soul (although this is a rich food and may not agree with puppoes stomache, Innova is also a rich food- but both are great products)

I tend to stick to the pet store brands they are slightly more pricey but usually only by a small margin. They have better ingredients no road kill ect, and with better dog food your puppy will be much healthier and have less poops...the cheap commerical brand dog foods have lots of fillers causing more pooping, dull hair ect...I used the Nutros naturals brand puppy food, there is different types like for smaller breed and larger breed puppies, and they do usually have small sample bags you can get for a buck or two to try out which one your dog goes for. Also with the nutros dog foods there is a frequent buyer program, you buy 10 bags and you get one free of the same size/type which a nice little bonus. Have fun with your puppy.

Okay well I have had my chihuahuas on evengers pheasant and brown rice since the recalls first started and my one chi has an allergy to certain things in commercial foods . Commercial foods are just not safe period they are giving our dogs cancers and killing our pets and it is just not worth it . Use holistic food dear . Your pets will be better off for it . good luck .

You can try Newman's Own, which is organic and they use only the highest quality of human-grade ingredients.
Other of like quality include
Innova
Natural Balance
Wellness
Pet Promise
I have two cats, and feed my babies only these brands. I am very picky about the ingredients and have done a lot of research on them. Thanks to the high quality of ingredients, my cats barely shed, and have great skin, coat, and vitality even though one of them is 7 and the other 8 years old.
Good luck!

My vet recommended any food that had chicken, beef, or lamb meals with the first ingredient. I use Nutro Max lamb for my boxer pup.
