That is a good idea, that way you can be sure that the person taking him isn't a puppymill. It would be a shame for him to spend the rest of his life in a cramped, filthy cage.

Definitely- it gets harder and more painful to neuter a dog after the 6-month mark, because their, um, parts mature. Also, if you wait to neuter him, he'll start exhibiting some agressive tendencies and doing gross things like humping people's legs. One more thing- many people probably won't even want to take your puppy if he's not fixed. I know that when I was looking for a dog, I wouldn't have considered one that wasn't neutered.

Thats totally up to you. Depending on what the person looking for wants the dog to be is weather or not it should be done. If your in a hurry to get rid of him, go ahead and do it. He will go faster I think. If not, put on the ad that you are willing to have him fixed if they want. If it was a girl, defianlly yes on fixing her.lol

Personally I would be more likely to take in a puppy who has already been fixed. Neutering can be costly. Unless the pup is a purebred, being fixed will make him more appealing to many people.

It is up to you, but i have found that is the 1st question I am asked when we advertise dogs and puppies that we have rescued.
If you dont intend to breed them my vet also agrees that fixing them is better for your pet.

I wouldn't fix him but would let those looking at him know that you will do it if they wish. That way you will have more opportunities to sell him since you won't be narrowing it down to either those who want a fixed dog and those who don't.

do not get the puppy fixed because the new owner might want your puppy to mate with a girl puppy and have baby puppies so do not get the puppy fixed!!!

Yes, it would make him go to a new home faster and ensure that he will not get another dog pregnant. Though you would have to keep him for about a week after to ensure nothing gets inflamed or infected.

We had to rehome our dog, she was a little too nervous around my four year old son, which made me nervous. I had her fixed first, she was 7 months old. I still miss her. :-(

It may be a bit young to be fixed, but I would ask the new owners what their preference is
