We got a puppy about ten days ago and he is terrified of being inside. When we take him outside he is fine, but as soon as we turn back towards the door he sits down and won't move. I hate pulling him on the leash but I can't have him be an outside dog. Any ideas?

i have a 4month old baby and we have fleas really bad in our house. we have no pets but have tried powder, and a bomb in the house but we never did under the home. if we rebomb under the home and inside would that get rid of them? and what are your best choices of bombs to use?

I just keep reading all these stories about how evil "pitbulls" are and I just wanted to say... do you own a "pitbull" do you even know that thats not an actual breed?

but to dispel a couple myths.. I have a lab mix-- a recently deceased plott hound and a staffordshire terrier
which would would you guys guess would be the meanest and the guard dog-- probably the "pitt" right? WRONG--- chevy would just sit there and lick them to death or shake with them.. (hes really good at shaking) whereas my other two babies would actually bark and protect me and/or the house
I just wish that more people that own these dogs would speak up for them and advocate on their behalf!
here are my babies-- (please note my plott hound was just killed in a tragic accident and she is no longer with me)
Chevyis the light brown color-- Meika (pronounced ME-KA) is the black and Daisy my brindle hound

Hi, I just got a 2 month old siberian husky. Ive had her for about a week and a half and she has been pooping and eliminating everywhere just when I thought I had her trained she started to eliminate back at home where she use to. I purchased Natures Wonder which gets rid of odor and feces from pets so she wont smell it and go poop there again. I need to teach her to stay away from certain things at home. I have heard of "crate training" which is very efficient but my question is how to crate train her? What do i need. I have a cage that I put her in but she wines a lot so I just let her out so can anyone explain to me what crate training is and how to do it thanks

Could someone please tell why why crate training is so popular and what exactly it is? I really cant work out why someone would choose that unless there was no other option (which in alot of cases there are)

My sisters who lives with me has a puppy that has came down with parvo. He has had a puppy shot and everything and was not let off the property or exposed to strange dogs. Fenced in back yard. He is 4 months old and he has been here since he was 7 weeks old. So im not sure how he came down with it. Now his sister who is my puppy has been in contact with him. She had 1 more puppy shot then he did. Im going to start her on meds to prevent her from getting severly sick or is it possible cause she had 1 more shot shes immune? If he makes it through the night he is going to be PTS i talked with the vet and he said theres only a 1% chance of him making it has he is not only pooping blood he is puking it up. I dont know how or where he could have got it. Since we noticed him activing differantly its only been 2 days and he is already this far gone.

I have a 2 yr old Chessapeake Bay Retriever who is starting to get a little testy. He has growled at a few people including my daughter and wife. We also have his father and he has gone at him a few times. I was just wondering how you all would handle this situation? What would you do with him?
Thank you for helping me out with this.

I took my dog to the vet today because she began having bloody stools. She was diagnosed with clostridium and given antibiotics to treat it. The vet said that she has seen an unusually large amount of clostridium cases this year probably because of all the rain we have had. I forgot to ask her how my dog may have been exposed to this. Does anyone know? I would like to know because I have another dog and I don't want her to get it as well.

My dog is driving me insane. I've heard that collars that increase the intensity with the number of barks don't work well because they just teach the dogs to bark only two or three times. I want to stop it completely!
