especially when he does it to company,how can i break him of that habit,and how can i make him stop humping?i know he needs to be altered,but thats financially out of the question right now,he will grab you by the neck or hips and actually pull you down,(hes a really big10 month old americanfoxhound)he like a crazy rapeist!

I am picking up my dog in the evening today and she just got spayed. My vet told me that she needs to keep a cone on her for 2 weeks. There is no way my hypered puppy (boxer) will last two weeks with this. I'm guessing the vet is just being over cautious, does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, I have another male puppy, how long should I keep the two dogs apart?

I am interested in breeding Yorkshire Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers. I am reading and trying to learn as much as possible about the two breeds. The sirs and dams will come from champion bloodlines and have pedigrees. I want to produce beautiful, healthy pups that meet their breed standards. I don't want to harm the dams in any way, and was wondering if anyone knows what is a good amount of pregnancies for a dog to have in her lifetime? Also, How often should she become pregnant? i have a very skinny little adult dog that i rescued 3 days ago! she was just bred and bred and bred in a puppy mill place. she is very scared of men and most things, today she walked on grass for the first time in her life and stood still when there is a gush of wind! she is half blind so she walks a litle way infront of me but then waits for me to see if i am still there! she is the cutest thing in the world!
now she is very very skinny so i would like to help to put on some weight in order for her to build a bit of muscle mass as well! she finds it very hard to climb up and down the stairs and keep up with my other dogs.
i heard puppy food would help? is that true? if not what can i fee her?

i have a jack russell that recently started having violent seizures. the vet said this could be caused by a serious medical problem (brian tumor or liver problem) or could just be epilepsy whick commonly develops in small breed dogs. i've never heard of that and have owned several small dogs without this problem before. has anyone else ever heard of epilepsy commonly developing for no apparent reason in small breeds?

I have two winnie dogs. When we leave them home alone they chew on about anything they can. If I leave them locked up in a room they chew on the trim around the walls. They have clawed paper off my wallls too. What can I do to keep them from doing this when we are gone?

Baton Rouge, Louisiana is trying to either ban the "pit bull" breeds or severly restrict them. I'm trying to find as much as I can on all the positive aspects to the bully breeds to help stop this. The counsilman who is pushing this law is only targeting the "pit bulls" and no other dog.

Is there anyway you can stop a dog's eyes from watering and leaving that brown stain? I have a white Cockapoo and it gets very unattractive. I have some drops that I use and I try to clean her eyes every day to remove the crust.
