MY PUPPY DOESN'T SEEM TO LIKE EUKANUBA OR IAMS... AND MY VET IS REFERING ME TO PURINA PUPPY FORMULA, WHICH HE SELLS... BUT, IVE BEEN READING BAD THINGS ABOUT THESE COMMERCIAL DOG FOODS, AND MY PUP WAS A VICTIM OF THE RECALL FOODS, AND I WAS THINKING OF SOMETHING A LOT MORE HEALTHIER FOR HIM. (THE VET TOLD ME HE NEEDS THE FAT IN THESE COMMERICAL BRANDS) I DONT KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE... ANY GREAT, HEALTHY, WHOLESOME, BRANDS FOR PUPPIES OUT THERE THAT YOU ALL KNOW OF? WHAT TO LOOK FOR, ETC.? THANK YOU!!!

I just bought "Pixie" less than about an hour ago from the pet store. She is a toy chihuahua. She was a little quiet when I went by earlier today but there was a bigger sibbling of hers in the same cage who was hyper so I thought she was just scared of him. Well, just the ride home she slept and now she doesn't want to walk. She wobbles or falls over to the side and just stays on her side for a few seconds before she tries to get up. Did the 15 minute ride make her dizzy? Is she just sleepy?
PLEASE HELP!

Hey girl, is he everything you wanted in a man?
You know I gave you the world
You had me in the palm of your hand
So why your love went away
I just can't seem to understand
Thought it was me and you babe
Me and you until the end
But I guess I was wrong

Don't want to think about it
Don't want to talk about it
I'm just so sick about it
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about it
Feeling the blues about it
I just can't do without ya
Tell me is this fair?

Is this the way it's really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Should've known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
It's breaking my heart to watch you run around
'Cause I know that you're living a lie
That's okay baby 'cause in time you will find...

What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
As far as i can go!!!

I was told it was just a broken blood vessel (by a person who saw the eye and spoke to a vet on the phone), but the swelling concerns me. He doesn't seem to be in any pain. I was also told to just let it heal, maybe to apply a little ointment to it.

My dog Holly is 13-1/2 years old. She has a constant yeast infection in her ear due to a polyp (or tumor) that is very large and growing in her ear canal. This prevents air from flowing thru as required and keeps the ear infected. I could continue to flush her ear with a cleaning solution from the vet to keep it somewhat clean and less smelly (but still smelly)... or I can go for a surgery that will allow it to drain all the crap out and dry so that air flows the way it should. Based on a blood test they done today all the vital levels are normal. She has some congestion in her lungs. Because of her age the vet says there could be complications. Do I take this risk? I love my dog, she is my only "child". But do I put her thru this surgery or put her thru ear cleanings for the rest of her life?

I have a Lab and I know that this breed is super smart and I need to train him. He is a black male lab. About 4 years old. He already knows sit, lay down, and jump. I want to teach him to speak, to roll over, to stay, and to stop pulling on the leash.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I have a Cockapoo, the sweetest dog I have ever had. In December I put him on Adult Beneful and about once every 2 weeks he throws up yellow. Is the dry food contaminated too? The news just said a total of 100 animals died and the number is growing. What about the dog treats or bones? how do you know if your dog is affected? WHO IS DOING THIS??????

She has always been healthy, she is 8 which i think is not young, but not old for her breed. In the past year when she sleeps she has been what i thing would be called snoring / sounds like snoring? It seems to be getting louder, i can actually hear her under my bed with the t.v. on. She other wise is acting fine. Could this be that she just started a snoring thing or could it be something else? Anyone have a dog start this at this age after never doing it before? Thanks!

I rescued a dog from a shelter, she's a small lhasa apso/maltese mix (we think) about 2 or 3 years old. She was spayed on Friday, and is still throwing up at least once daily. She throws up every time she drinks water, and sometimes she is able to keep down food, but she does not eat much at all. I was just wondering if I should bring her in to the vet or if this is normal? I've never had a dog of my own before and I don't know what to expect, I don't want to overreact but I don't want her to do badly either. Help!

This is my first time on the message board and I am excited to see the responses to my question! My boyfriend and I already own a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) and she is nearing 9 months old. We recently decided that we'd like to purchase a smaller dog. We live in different cities (apartments, not homes) and our Cattle dog lives with him. We want something that can live with me and be slightly less hyper and more of a snuggler. :-) I have heard great things about Chi's and I am so excited about getting one!

However, my good girlfriend is having a litter in a few months and I went to see the mother of her future pups and the mother bit me. I wait tables (law student) and might have been carrying the scent of a ton of people... I hate making excuses for the mother though. My boyfriend thinks that it bit me because she is pregnant and protective. I can't have a dog that bites!

Tell me this was a weird thing for the mother to do. I want my search for the perfect pup to be over!:-)

I bought a Golden retirever a year ago. They gave me the registrations applications, his bloodline, and all his medical info. After a move I couldn't find his application and I have put it off until now. I know it's still posible to register him, I just don't know how to go about doing it. Please help! ASAP

I have a 4 year old black male labrador, and I want to adopt another adult male lab. Will they gat a long together if I do. The dog I have currently, is about 4 years old, male, black, and we found him as a starved stray on the side of the road. So I picked him up, got him some meat on him, and he has been my dog ever since. He knows sit, lay down, and jump. He is good with kids for all ages, and he chases cats and chickens. Would I be able to get another dog, with him?

PREFERRABLY a lab or siberian husky. mmm..what the heck, male or female...
