My border terrier is 5 years old and we live in london so we never brought him up used to farm animals he chases squirels , rabbits , cats and sheep whenever we go camping or to see relatives in the country. He is very friendly to people and loves anyone including strangers he has never bitten anyone or been violent to any humans . He just loves to chase sheep and animals we do tell him off after and he has seem to calmed down as he has got older but he still chases sheep once he attcked one and it had to be put down so i was just wondering if there was anyway i could fix this problem thanks . Please only sensible replies

I keep her outside on a chain during the day but inside with the family at night and worry about any males in the neighborhood getting close when she comes into heat. I don't want to breed yet.

With him being old (14) and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels don't usually live that long, they say he won't survive an operation. He's a very happy dog and a lively one too be it slower and its not hurting him one bit.. Its getting bigger is the tumor but at what stage do I say this is the time to let him go? This is killing me because I just don't want him to suffer!

My dog is about 2 months old. Just today, he's been acting strangely. He's had 4 seizures (head shaking), drooling (bubling saliva). His seizure lasts for about 30-40 seconds and he's well again.

Could he be suffering from epilepsy?
What should I do? I'm a foreigner living here in China and I'm not really confident of their vets. I've had my dog vaccinated from a vet around and bought deworming drugs. After using the medicine the vet gave, worms are still coming out from my dog. I'm treating it now.
Any advice you can give will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

I came across a limping, starving and timid stray dog this weekend. I couldn't catch her myself so I called animal control. I was not able to talk to animal control directly but am going to the shelter tomorrow morning to try to get her out. Will they let me adopt her or do they euthanize sick and injured dogs without giving them a chance? They picked her up Sunday afternoon and were closed today. She'll have been there for less than 48 hours when I try to adopt her tomorrow morning. I'm worried sick - I really want to save her.

My boyfriend got a pit bull a couple months ago, without even as much as a call to see if I was okay with it (only because we are serious and considering marriage, so this is a big decision for both of us). I have a jack russell/rat terrier mix and whenever his pit bull and my dog are around each other, they constantly play. They love each other, but when it comes to toys or food, the pit bull becomes VERY territorial. She'll start fights with him over attention or toys, and it is quite frightening to say the least.

2 nights ago, my boyfriend was with his pit and a 2 other family dogs and the pit and another dog got in a fight, but the pit went after the INNOCENT dog that was just sitting there. The pit grabbed onto her neck and wouldn't let go for several minutes until my bf hit her in the head with a meat hammer. The other dog had to get stitches that cost about $1000. I'm just worried that if we ever start a family, little ones may be in danger. What do yall think?

im back... the vet is aware we are treating our puppy at home homeopathically. she has distemper, but hasnt had any seizures yet. she was licking her lips a lot today (i was thinking that might be the chewing gum thing ... not sure) but anyway, the holistic treatments give our puppy the most hope. before any insentive morons give a "smart" answer about putting a gun to her head like my last question let me say this- if she gets bad to where she is suffering, or has any permanent brain damage that causes her to have poor quality of life- we will do the right thing and put her to sleep BUT while she still has hope of recovering (with minimal or no lasting problems hopefully!!) if she does get to the point of having a seizure is there anything i can do to make it easier for her (besides making sure shes in a safe spot, and talking to her, staying calm...) i stay home alone with her during the day and im TERRIFIED of this happening. im going to be so scared!! should i just not touch her?

I have a two year old female pitbull who now lives with me in a country setting, and I'm relocating to the city. She's not good at all with walking on a leash or being around other people or animals she doesn't know. This is a problem as I must walk her in public. I'm up for any advice to get past this problem, as well as any well-known trainers in NYC to help. Thanx!
