Hi there,
we breed shar-pei for many years now so have alot of experience with this bred. there are alot of reasons why there tails droop... and usually its because they are under the weather and let me tell you when a pei is sick to them its the end of the world... here are some tips just incase : check his legs for any swelling, check his temp for a fever, check his mouth for any swelling .. if he has some or any of these signs it could be (shar-pei fever also known as swollen hock) these is no test yet to comfirm this illness but there are alot of websites on it .. just google search it... also it might be nothing as our dogs have occasionally been under the weather and there tails droop

Could be an injury, or maybe the dog is not feeling very well, sometimes they will droop their tails if a bit under the weather.

I've noticed on my pit bull, if he is sick, he tail is down. One time he hurt his tail while wagging, he slammed it into the TV. His tail was down for several days, before he started feeling better.

Gently rub your dog all over and watch for signs of soreness. If your dog is sore then it may be time for your vet to have a look. Good luck
