Airedale Terriers are perfect if you don't want a moulting animal, although a previous answer mentions trimming. Airedale Terriers need hand stripping at least twice a year. My partner has suffered from chronic eczema and asthma since early childhood and has lived with this breed almost all her life and is not affected by the fur and surpirisingly for a big dog they also don't drop unless in need of a stripping. Our Airedale has other properties which make her absolutely fantastic to live with. They are incredibly intelligent animals and do not need mindless two or three hour long walks, they need little and often normally. Their diet is easy to maintain i.e: they prefer real frozen meat which if you buy from a pet supermarket will only cost 57p (about $1) a day (obviously cooked in a microwave ) You must be prepared however for a very self-sufficient animal. They don't much like toys, in fact seem almost dis-interested in them, they are not motivated by treats instead prefer to spend time with you, they are always interested in the family and what is going on with them. They are like a slightly hairy human member with their own input and ideas. Our airedale is always involved in everything we do , no decisions are made without her, she has been left to supervise builders etc.she is very friendly to other animals and lives happily alongside a cockatiel and on weekdays goes out with a dog walker and loads of other dogs. she also goes swimming twice a week with a range of other dogs and has a great time! http://www.parkpals.co.uk/Gallery1.htm Ruby our Airedale is the laughing shaggy character (second row far right), this is our dog walker & this is where Ruby swims http://www.greyfriarsrehab.co.uk/ (no pictures of her yet). As you can see from the answer we love our Airedale a great deal. Any other questions I allow e-mail.

I'm not exactly sure about the term 'malt'. But then there are lots of terms I'm not familiar with. I know birds molt. And dogs shed. If thats the same as shedding then poodles and poodle crosses are non shedders. Maybe, Curley coated water spaniels don't shed. I believe they were derived from poodles. I'm not sure about a Bedlington but I know they are clipped. There are other breeds too but its almost 5:00 a.m here and my mind is foggy. From what I can remember, if a breed does not shed it will need to be clipped.

News flash, all dogs shed not all dogs blow coat, people shed spiders shed guinea pigs shed snakes shed cats shed, do you real think your dog has the same coat it did when it was born, nope do you want to know why, they shed just like you, brush your hair often you know that hair in your brush you shed... So yes all dogs shed pure breed and mutts they all shed. Now if your talking about blowing coat, there is a big difference. your double coated breeds are going to blow coat. Yorkie's poodles are not going to blow coat but they will shed.

In any given situation, focus on what you do want your dog to do instead of on whatever he’s doing wrong. Learn how to train your dog https://tr.im/rn8fI

For example, suppose that on many evenings, your young dog gets busy looking for trouble just as you’re digesting your dinner. He grabs a boot from the mat by the front door and gallops through the house with it. You yell at him and take it away. He grabs its mate. You yell and take it away. He heads for the kitchen and starts checking out the counters in case something tasty’s been left behind. You chase him away. And on and on, until you’ve lost your temper and torn out clumps of hair you can ill afford to lose.

Usually, that's too long for me. I believe it depends on the guy and also his face though. Certain guys may pull off long hair and other folks can't.

The only true breeds that don't moult are Poodles and Bichons and dogs of a similar coat, their crosses, however do especially lab poodle crosses, labs can moult for England!. So if you want a genuine dog that doesn't shed hair everywhere then go for a poodle or bichon. However, if your looking for a dog that doesn't cause allergies then they don't exist. It's the shed skin of the dog that usually causes allergies not the hair.

All dogs lose at least some hair but some are better than others. Check this article out http://www.dog-obedience-training-review.com/dogs-that-dont-shed.html
