My dog has allergies and every treatment the vet has suggested has not worked. I'm thinking about having her allergy tested. Has anyone else has this done on their dog? Did it work well? How much did it cost?

Does anyone know anything about elevated ALT levels in puppies? My puppy (almost a year) has high ALT levels. The high normal level is around 115 and hers are at least 300. She doesn't have a shunt and she already went through medication for possible parasites. Apparently it is a strange case. Any information would be helpful especially from a veterinarian. (Also...I am taking her in for some further testing on Thursday)

We have 2 English Bulldog puppies. One is 10-months old. We've had her since she was 6-weeks and she LOVES her crate. We got our 8-month old puppy almost 2 months ago, and his previous owners left him outside during the day and gave him free-run of the house at night. We don't completely crate him during the day, as I feel 9-10 hours in such a small space is too long. We put her in the laundry room with her crate in the doorway, and he's across the hall in the bathroom with his crate in the doorway. He's gotten to where he doesn't mind this, but when it's time to go in his crate at night, he's terrified! Both crates are in the living room at night, so the other puppy is still nearby. We can't find ANY type of treat or toy or anything that he will go in his crate after. In fact, while he gets very excited about treats outside of his crate, anything I put in there the night before is still laying there the next morning. I don't know how to help him feel better about his crate.

When I try calling her to come in from the back yard, she just looks at me, but when my husband tells her she listens. I know this means somthing about looking at him as the alpha and me as a softy.Oh ya, alot of times she stands on her hind legs and straches the hell out of the sliding glass door. When i go to let her in she runs away. Help she is driving me crazy.

The Vet says that they will get larger and eventually go away. He says to not worry about them unless they are bleeding. He knows that they are getting bigger and says that there is nothing he can do at this time and that we should just let them take their natural coarse.

Bottom line is they are nasty looking and I don't want them in my 4 month old dogs mouth.

What are your thoughts on this?

My dog had an incident where someone clipped hone of his nails too short and now he snarls and growls at anyone who attempts to clip his nails. We've even tried a muzzle and he just swings his head back and forth, pulls his paws back, and growls some more. Anyone ever have this problem? If so, please tell me what you have done to fix this.

My american male cocker spaniel (3 months) began going outside. Today is his 6th day, and he still doesn't get the idea to do potty outside. When he comes home, he runs to his wee wee pad and does everything there as soon as we come home. When outside, he fools around, but has been getting better at not doing that. However, he still doesnt get the feeling to go outside. He waits till he gets home. Is it because he knows that pad will be there waiting for him? And also recently he started barking at people (not all of them) and a dog he saw today. Is that anything to be worried about?

She will cry, whine and howl to the point where my girlfriend will get her out the crate and have her sleep in the bed with us. The dog is fed, let out and given lots of attention before bedtime. She does it at night and in the mornings. Our neighbor just complained about the noise. What can we do to have her stop making all that noise?

My partner and I have a schedule where we are able to come during our lunch break and let the dogs out. We let them out every 4 hours or less but we wanted to know how much and time frames should we feed them. We leave the food out and they will eat as soon as we let them out the crate. Are they eating just to eat or are they hungry??

We have a 1 year old Golden Retriever. She is the most intelligent dog that I've ever had, but she's almost impossible to teach because she's constantly jumping up on me, chewing things up, and just generally running wild. I feel like I have an out of control child. I'm very frustrated.

Usually vomits only during the night. Does not appear sick before hand, just starts licking. I have tried several different foods now and she gets no people food. Its usually just yellow stuff thin, some times a bit mucousy.

She is from the SPCA. She doesn't bark at my husband and Daughter. She will not come in the house(even with bribes like treats). She only follows my 13 yr old son and me. She goes from room to room when we do get her in the house.
