First I would have to congratulate you on being a responsible pet owner. It's unfortunate that Rott's have a reputation for being aggressive dogs and that tends to make people shy away from them. If you do find someone that will take him, make sure they are not going to turn him into a guard dog.
I found my Rott this way and I was given the third degree by the pound before I was able to adopt my girl. She was an awesome dog and family pet as well.
Place ads in the local paper and try contacting a local Rott Rescue Organization. It also might help by telling people what area you live in. This could spark someones interest if they live in the same area.
Good Luck.

I own a ROTTIE, and I would find a place where they accept pets before giving up your 4 year old pal. This will be so very hard on King, you are who he has known best for his whole life so far. Imagine, you at 4 having to be placed somewhere that no one would really care for you like your family.
Please, please go online and check out ROTTWEILER RESCUE, also PETFINDERS, do whatever you must to find a compatible home, or as I first said, find a place where they let you keep your pal. King will forever be grateful, loyal, and loving to you for the rest of his life. Please don't give him up!

I think you should keep looking for a place to live and even see if a landlrd will let u pay deposit on the dog. At 4 yrs old that is 28 dog yrs why tell him you are no longer my family.Wood u like that????

You may want to google Rottweiler Rescue..... But, you may want to keep looking for a place that will accept dogs. It is going to be very hard on him at four years old to be given up. Even if he does find a good home it will be difficult on him. If you put him in a shelter they may put him down :( Rottweilers tend to get a bad rep and he may be hard to adopt out. Good luck!

You should be able to find a place to live that will allow dogs. This is why some people shouldn't have pets in the first place.

You are more likely to get help if all vetting is current and king pin is altered. Be sure to offer fostering until he is adopted.
Also check with all breed rescues. Contact you local vets they should be able to help you with rescues in your area.

Here's a directory of Rottie Rescues
http://www.rottrescue.org/national_list_rott_rescue.html
You may have difficulty finding one that has room, though. A LOT of rotties are turned into rescue.
If you find a group that can help you, please make a generous donation.
