You playing right into the puppys hands, doing exactly what she wants you to do. The whining and crying will go on for several nights but should decrease or stop within a few nights. Do make sure that she has gone out to potty before going to bed, many dogs do not like to urinate or defecate in their crates, also give her a few toys in her crate. When she starts whining, call her name, to let her know that you haven't forgot about her, but don't under any circumstances take her out, then she knows shes got ya :-) Had the same thing happen to me, now I share the bed with the dog and the wife.

Simple, It 's only a baby dog. Make sure the bed is near you or put a stuff animal in the bed so that the dog can have company. If this doesn't work then try to let the dog sleep with you for a couple of nights it won't hurt. Remember the dog has been taken away from his mommy.

She cries and whines because she knows she will be let out. You are going to have to be firm, I know it is hard. And, with the neighbors complaining it is not going to be easy. You may want to try crateing her in the day when you are home, that way she will see the crate is her home. Good luck!

That happened to me when I first brought home my pup. After two weeks of constantly telling her a very FIRM NO, she finally gets the point now, that once the door is closed, she is not allow to cry, whine or scratch the door. The pup needs to know that it upsets you. Do not put her in your bed when it's bedtime, or else she will think that is her bed when it comes to sleeping time. My dog only goes to my bed to take naps. When it comes to sleep, she goes back to her bed. To her, her bed is her sleeping territory. Hoped I helped you.

She, no doubt, was recently weaned! She misses her mom and litter mates. Put a wind up alarm clock in the crate with her along with a blanket or a stuffed animal for warmth. The ticking of the clock is similar to a beating heart for newly weaned puppies.

she probably wants to be cuddled, instead of cuddling her to the point that she cant stand 1 minute without you you should put her in a place htat she doent see you, I had to do tht with my dog when she was a pup. I was kennel training her and every time she saw me and my fiance move on the bed she would start whining, so i had to cover her kennel eventually i had to put her in the next room. eventually she stopped whining. Her not seeing us helped her realize that we couldn't be around her cuddling her 24/7 but it did not stop her from knowing that we loved her

I've had the same experience. All dogs are different but I found that if you just occupy him with something to do (bones, chew toys, etc), he won't whine as much.

My Chihuahuas do sleep with me and my husband, but if you do not want her in bed with you, give her a heating pad covered or a warm water bottle covered and put a ticking clock somewher close to her. This will give her a feeling of being close to a warm body and beating heart, and that should ease her a little. Chihuahuas are very affectionate, and love to be with their people so she would probably be happiest in your bed.

She's lonesome and wants to be with you! She's still just a baby, and she needs the warmth and attention she's used to getting during the day. Let her sleep with you - as long as she's housebroken! - you'll all sleep better, and you'll love that tiny warm body snuggling up with you!

my little boy chi did that when i first got him. they are like little babies. if she is not going to the bathroom in your bed i dont see anything wrong with her sleeping in your bed. if you insist on putting her in her crate then you will just have to tough it out until she stops crying.
