It would help to know what kind of bite(bug bite, animal bite). I would say if it is a bug bite and just a little swollen(like a human gets from a bug bite) put antibiotic ointment on it, but if it is really swollen then take your dog to the vet it could be allergic. If it is some kind of bite from an animal where the dog was in a fight or something you need to take it to the vet either way. An animal bite could become very infected and that will cost you a lot more money down the road then if you just take your pup to the vet now.

Clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide. Apply some A&D ointment.

Call the vet and describe the problem.

When my dog got bit she had a lot of swelling but it was from aggitated tissue, no serious damage and no infection. After a few weeks it went down and all was back to normal.

Just keep an eye on it. If it starts pussing, the wounds get worse, it's very tender to the touch, the dog doesn't eat take him to the vet immediately.

But keep the wound clean with hydrogen peroxide and apply the A&D ointment to it.

Good Luck

Take the dog to a VET like now. Any bite wound should be at least looked at by a vet. It sounds like the site is infected and will require a thorough cleaning and antibiotics.

Take the dog to the vet for crying out loud.

Some dogs are allergies to bug bites and bees stings, some plants in my house will make my boxiers mouths swell. Benadril. Just like humans for bee stings. My female boxier has allergies so bad she takes benadril three times a day no matter what, from a vet's mouth. She weights 52 pounds and she gets 2 in the morning one at lunch and two at night. When she gets used to that she will go on a prescribed drug from the vet, It works

Get him to a vet. Now!
He may have any kind of serious infection and only a vet can advise you what to do for the best to treat this.
