hiya i am gettin my lhaso apso puppy on the 16th December i need to no everything i will need for when my puppy arrives.
also how can i potty train him i am thinking of getting him a crate i am going to be out at work most of the day so need to know how i can potty train him while i am gone any help is much appreicated

She has always been very skittish, as she was hit by a car as a puppy. She is active and eating normally. She still brings her toy to play and cuddles as she always does, but her tail has been unusually droopy for the past couple of days. Any ideas?

i have two mini smooth dachshunds both over 2 years old and my husband is thinking of getting a irsh red setter i am worried has to whether they would get on ok will the setter be too bouncy as we are hoping to get an adult over 3 years old should anybody have any advice thanks

My mums dog had to be put down on friday, she was 13, riddled with tumors and in pain, how have you coped with the lose of a pet, we cried for days and we still are!

Hi,
I really need advice.A friend visited my house with his daughter.He normally just does not watch her when he brings her! I do! I have a dog.I want to say that my dog means ALOT to me!!His daughter received a warning from my dog.He nipped her face for going near some sort of toy that was on the floor.They were all on the floor(dog,child,toy).I have a child and a niece that are loved by my dog!The child's parents were around the 1st time.Ok,well it happened again.This time much worse.Her father brought her to My house and left her unattended.He knew what happened the 1st time.He was told not to even come over WITH his Child!My dog was in a different room with the door shut.Somehow it got opened and Boom,next thing I heard was my friend saying that his daughter needed a hospital.Just to remind you He WAS NOT watching his child.Now my dog is most likely to be put to sleep.I feel terrible for the child.Her face is bad.She is only 18 mos.I have been crying for Both! I miss my dog....

one of my really close friends wasnts a chiwawa and has been TRYING to save up for one. the only problem is that i dont think he has considerd mantinance for him and the dog.
he would want to take his chiwawa everywhere! and i really hate dogs (and can get very scared in their presence as well as jumpy) if my friend got a chiwawa could it ruin our friendship?

i don't know if you noticed but every day i ask about a new problem concerning my puppy.... I am getting very tired and upset because from the day i got him i visit the vet almost every day....
it costs a lot too but that's the last thing i care!
he had bloody diarrhea when i first got him. the vet had him on treatment giving him shots almost every day for a week... then he was fine. next we had his tail docked and the stitches came off or the puppy bite them, i don't know and we had that fixed for a second time... now he is fine with that as well. next after his second vaccination he started limping his one hind leg. the vet said that he might have hit somewhere and a neurve is being pressed so he can't use his leg.He wants to see him again this afternoon. but i will ask him to take x rays because i noticed his right hip sticking out more than the other and i am afraid if it's dislocated or if he has hip dysplasia... Now he has bloody diarrhea again with much more blood this time :(

My 5 year old yorkshire terrier spends the night sitting on my shoulder crying into my ear and pawing my face. I haven't had a full nights sleep in months.
She has also started refusing to eat but the vet says there isn't a problem. I was away for the weekend and she ate and slept solid for my sister.
She is alone all day as we both work but I give her lots of attention at night. Please help.

I am going to get another pit bull. a girl, as a playmate/packmate for my T-Bone (Want to see a pic? go to http://www.myspace.com/1000250856 you have to wait a bit he's about in the middle of the slide show) But I have two options. My husband has a friend who's b i t c h is having her last litter, and he said we could have the pup, for free. But today I found out a friend is giving away her 2 year old pittie, because she's becoming an outdoor dog, and when they move back to the states she'll have even less time for her, and she wants a better life for her than that. I took T-Bone over to meet Jayde, and they got along ok... so, what do you guys think? Puppy or Jayde? (p.s. Jayde is already fixed)
