Puppies do miss their Mother and sibblings, so you will have to give your puppy 24/7 attention. Take walks, play with a toy, hold or sit next to your puppy and talk softly saying it's new name over and over. If won't take your puppy long to see it's loved and then adjustment to it's new home will be a happy experience for both of you. Be Patient and Kind!

Usually only takes a couple days. Dogs in the most part do not remember there littler mates after a time.
My Mr. wanted to see if a puppy (malamute, I think it was) he had when younger would remember his parents. They almost tore each other apart...
I also met up with someone who had a litter mate to a dog I had and they had no clue who the other dog was.
Dogs are not people and once a person realizes this the better off everyone will be....

It usually takes about a week or two to get adjusted to their new surroundings. Some dogs even become ill when entering their new home from the stress of the situation. Just make sure you give her lots of love and can spend plenty of time with her for the first little bit and she'll be fine. Good Luck!

I just got a puppy yesterday - and I swear, she bonded to me immediately, and only whined for her momma twice. Both times I was able to comfort her immediately and turn her attention to a toy. Now, it may have helped that we have another dog. The other dog is not with the new puppy all the time though, this way the puppy bonds with people rather than another dog.
All I can say, is give her time, and be there for her....

More then likely, no not yet. Usually it takes dogs a week in a half (at the least) to adjust to their new surroundings. Switching from place to place, however may stress the dog out

There is no set time to how long it takes for a dog to get adjusted. The fastest way to get a dog adjusted to a new place is to make it comfortable. Give the dog food, treats, toys and attention. Also, give him (or her) time to rest when they get tired. The sooner you make him 'want to be there' the sooner he'll be adjusted

I'm in the same boat as you just got a new puppy and he's shy as ever. He doesn't whine or anything just lays in a bunch of blankets quietly and that's where he seeems more content. And I beg to differ with the individual who said litter mates don't remember eachother. I had a German Shepherd we took one or twice a month to see the rest of his litter mates and you can believe they all remembered eachother very much so. It depends on the breed but I know my breeder can bring the parents together with their previous litter and they very much remember and begin playing as if they never left.

Don't think for the pup and put human emotions in its little brain.
The pup should adapt quickly if it is sound. Make sure you are supplying all of its needs. There is no reason why the pup is not adapting if you provide food, water, shelter and companionship. Survival is all that pup cares about.

A couple weeks are so. He will be whiney the first few day, and eventually start perking their ears to their names and running to you to see you. They will become more and more comfortable.
