Unfortunately, as he is no longer entire, you can't enter him in any dog show organised under Kennel Club Rules (apart from obedience or agility) - however you can enter him in a Companion Dog Show (the new name for Exemption Dog Shows).
Companion Dog Shows have classes for purebred dogs (which yours could enter) as well as Novelty classes ... such as best condition, most appealing eyes, best over 15", etc. They generally give prize cards or rosettes to winners. It can be a fun day out for you & your dog.
The advice about Ring Craft Training classes is good. These let you get experience on how to handle your dog in the show ring & how to help him show himself off to his best advantage. it also gets your dog used to having other dogs around & used to someone strange running their hands all over his bodies. The clubs who run these will be able to let you know where & when the Companion Dog Shows are being held... or at least I hope so.
I've found details for a Manchester Dog Show Society ... maybe you could contact them & ask about Companion Dog Shows & Ring Craft Training. However, I notice that they hold Championship Shows (the ones at which you can qualify for Crufts & also win awards to help make your dog a Show Champion) - so they might not run Companion Shows or Ring Craft - however I do hope that Mr Lund will be able to point you in the right direction find out.

Failing that, in Cornwall, adverts for Companion Dog Shows are seen in the local papers, in pet shop windows & are often posted at the vets. Hope this helps.
Good luck with your dog.

There are dog clubs for any type of dog. Look on line. In the USA there is even the ugliest dog club. If you cant find one in the UK then start one. People love their dogs and everyone wants to show off their best friend. Make it a benefit for your local dog rescue. I did it once and we gave over 2000.00 to the SPCA. The only reason I stopped was because I became ill. Now a young woman from my neighboring state does it each year.

You cannot show him in Kennel Club or Breed Club shows because he is not an entire male/not pedigree (not sure which you mean). However, you can go and learn about how to show dogs at a Ring craft class in your area if you want to practice for the future when you might get a show dog. Alternatively you can train and enter obedience competitions or agility events. Again, you'll need to train your dog to a very high level and I suggest contacting a club in your area.

In my opinion, all dogs are good dogs. But that's just me. I think it is great that you want to adopt a dog!!! That's just great! Dalmations get to be pretty big, and are usually kind of hyper. They require 1 on 1 time, just like most dogs. Just visit the sites that the others gave you and you'll be ready to make your decision! I hope I helped a little bit!!! Doodle Pup 07

you cannot show him at open or championship shows but you can still take him to exemption shows which are mainly held in the summer time. Look in the dog papers like our dogs or dog world for shows.

if the dog is not a purebred and registered with the AKC you can't show him. Also, if the dog is neutered, then you also can't show him. Dogs must be purebred, registered with the AKC and not spayed or neutered to be able to be shown.
