My Jack Russell blew the ACL in her rear right leg a few months ago. We couldnt afford the surgery and were advised against it by friends who said it has a high failure rate. She manages long walks on three legs and often uses the sore leg when at home. Whats the chances of the ligament healing of its own accord?

I had a dog and I loved him so much that when I first saw him I had to have him.... He had white and black fluffy hair. I had to work for $120 to buy him. My mom and dad told me if I wanted him I had to pay for him and accept the resonsibilities. So I took him home and 1 year and 5 mounths later he ran off and never came back. I loved him so much I wish I could find him or even just see him again.\
Has this ever happened to you?

How many of you would decide to stop breeding if I told you this:
27 Million unwanted pets are turned into shelters each year
12,500 are euthanized each hour
Over 15 million euthanized each year
This doesn't include those who are neglected either!
If you want to see a neglected dog go here: http://www.dogsdeservebetter.org/pictures.html
Are going to stop being selfish now?

I just got this pit bull and he is about 2 months old, I got him about 2 weeks ago and since he has been here I taught him to sit in one day. The problem is, he doesn't seem to learn how to let us know he needs to piss or poop. How do I train him to go outside? How long will this take? I'm about ready to give up and put him outside for good. My house is usually **** n span put now it smells of piss and poop.
HELP!!

I found a beautiful, looks like a springer spaniel puppy who keeps kneading me and won't eat the soft puppy food I bought for her. If she still needs a nipple, what do I put in the bottle? Will regular milk give her diarrhea? She is about 6 weeks old and weighs about 8 pounds. She is fluffy and cute as can be. Help?

For the last two weeks my dog has been really lethargic off and on. He has only vomited about three times in the last two weeks, once was because he was choking on his water =/ He is eating, drinking, his poop is normal looking, no blood from either end. He sleeps (too much) and will go for a walk if I take him. However, he is soooo lethargic and looks weak in his eyes. He is also prone to bouts of shivering. Not to mention he is OVERLY cuddly, he is normally cuddly, but has been wanting to live on my head so to speak. All of the "emergency" signs are not there so I have not taken him to the vet yet. I can't afford it if he does not need to go. I am, however, worried. Has anyone had this happen with their dog(s) before? Any insight or ideas or information would be GREATLY appriciated! Thank you:)

I'm planning on living in Cardiff, Wales for a year and I can't bear to be away from my dog for more than a week. I'd like to bring her along for the ride, but I don't know how long the quarantine period is. I don't want to leave her in quarantine for too long, especially since she'll have to go through it again once we come back stateside.

My dear, dear Bradley died on the vets table Thursday morning...could not be saved....he had stomach torsion. Deep chested dogs (Standard Poodles, Dobermans, Grayhounds, and many others) are very subject to this...their stomachs fill with gas for no reason, twists on the intestines and esophagus and tie itself off...the dog can die within a few hours! He acted strangely, but nothing much out of the ordinary, ...then his abdoman began to swell rapidly, vomiting everywhere...I realized then what was happening, rushed him to the vet, but he died on the table..I am heart broken. Keep an eye on your deep chested dogs at all times, and do NOT change their diets or feed them high carbs....makes this happen often. Bradley had NO different diet, but it happened anyway. Dear, dear Bradley...this is going to take a very long time to get over. This is not a question, it is simply sharing what I have learned the very, very hard way. I don't want any of you to go through the same thing

I am calling the vet to make an appointment to get my newly adopted Rottie fixed. But her **** our swallon and I think she might be pregnant, I agreed to have her fixed within one month I adopted her from the Animal Shelter and that was one of the conditions. If she is should I go ahead and have her fix or wait until she has puppy?
Is there a time frame to take the puppies or can they take them no matter how far along she is?

I have a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel that I just got a couple weeks ago! When I recieved him he was all matted up and STUNK! My babysitter for my children is a avid dog lover and asked if she could groom him ( because that is what she is wanting to be) and I said sure... I mean why not its going to save me money...lol! Well she did so tonight while I was at work and she was here watching my kids. Next thing I know she is calling me telling me that one of the mats he had on his chest was so deep into his skin that when she cut it it ripped open his skin!.. She said that she was going to take him to the vet and pay for him to get taken care of. What I would like advice on.. is he ended up with stiches that I have to go get taken out in 14 days! Should I tell her ( even tho she just spent 150 on the visit the stiches and the antibotics and pain pills) that she needs to pay to have them removed or should I just remove them ( we are already in debt this month) Thanks

Tee

She is new to our home, and has semmed to be ok. She has scars under her chin from maybe having lesions before. They are the size of a pea and look full of blood. I am also concerned because I am 8 months pregnant and am scared of contracting any worms or whatever. We also have a doxy that is up to date on her shots, but acted like she was going to vomit yesterday, but has been fine today. I have them separated. Have any idea what it could be? Please help with answers, thank you!
