when my dogs flip over for a belly rub and have their heads turned straight up towards the ceiling they start to sneeze non stop till they flip upright again.

I believe it from the dust and particles in the air going straight into their noses. They can't help it.

I've never heard of that! My dog sneezes on occasion but not when she is lying on her back getting her belly rubbed. Maybe it's their way of laughing because you are tickling them? See if they still sneeze if they are just in that position but you DONT rub their bellies. Mmmmmmmmmmm interesting!

I never heard of that either. My dog is always laying on her back to get a belly rub, too, and she doesn't sneeze when she does it.

Sit and stare at lights and you will sneeze too and I am not sure what triggers that.
I would suppose they aren't use to room lights and they probably don't close their eyes to the brightness and it causes them to sneeze.

my dog does that two. it's natural for them to do that. but the reason i think is because their getign more fresh air when there nose is streight up and thanks much now i have to sneeze LOL!!!

something links in his nose and make it iches... and then sneeze...
