I have a 1 year old cairn terrier, who is only 11 lbs. When she sees a big dog, e.g., bulldog, collie, mutt, whatever she growl and barks and trys to bite at it. But what is really strange is that when she sees a SMALLER dog she will cry, whimper, and hide behind me. WHy does she do this??

my little guy gordi is a 4 lb applehead chihuahua. he will be 4 next month. over the summer he had a seizure and i had thought it was caused from heat exhaustion (he loves the sun, loves to be under the blankets and rarely drinks too much water) however, i believe he just had a seizure today...couldnt walk and he looked "out of it"...we live in ny...so i know its not due to heat. does anyone have any information about this?

For the past couple of weeks, my dog has been drinking A LOT more water than she used to. Ive heard this could be linked to some kind of kidney problem, but others tell me she would be showing more symptoms. I have no clue what to do and I don't think this is normal.

I have an indoor dog and indoor cat.
The cat growls at the dog and then the dog barks at the cat and gets upset. Is spanking the dog the best way to discourage this behavior or is there another method? I have tried spanking but it doesn't seem to solve the problem and makes the dog more aggressive. She is a queensland/german shepherd mix.

I want to know everything I can about the weight pulls. Entry fees, weight classes, paper generation, etc. etc. Can anything be used as a lead? How much can you win? If anyone can answer any of these questions or have any other info regarding this I would really appreciate it. Is it possible to start your own weight pulls for pits in your own community? Thanks everyone!

Or is there any other house hold products or remedies that work well? Help, my dog's ears stink, and the solution they sell at the Pet Stores doesnt work all that well. Thanks :)

My female boxer is expecting. This is a PLANNED pregnancy. We took her to the male dog on September 10. The owners of the male dog have very busy lives and didnt "witness" a mating until September 17 although mating could have occured before this. We have confirmed the pregnancy by ultrasound but are unsure of the approximate whelp date. According to the ultrasound, she is carrying at least 8, possibly more. She has gotten a lot larger and is eating more and filling out more in the milk department (although no milk can be squeezed out yet). We can see the pups moving around when she is at rest very easily. Can someone please tell me about when I can expect her to whelp. I am a flight attendant and am away from home numerous days at a time and I need to plan to be here when she delivers. Any signs I should look for in particular?? Today is 55 days since she was put with the male but only 49th day since mating was witnessed. PLEASE HELP!!!
