It's actually better for her to be fixed before she ever goes into heat or has a litter. There are many health issues that can arise when a dog is allowed to have even one litter, like mammary cancer, ovarian cancer, etc... If not allowed to have a litter, it is far less likely these cancers will occur.

So I would have to say no, it's best to just get her spayed without having a litter.

No! Go get her fixed. She'll be just as happy if she never had pups. Besides that's how we get strays. People let there dogs have pups and then sell or place the pups in sometimes not so good home and the pups end up getting turned out into the streets by irresponsible owners. Or in shelters where they are destroyed if they are not adopted or if they have aggresion issues. And that's to me is CRUEL!

She doesn't have to. I've heard people say that the moms'll be more gentle, but really, it's just because they're usually a little older after they've had pups and so calmed down somewhat. So, I wouldn't recommend breeding her simply so that she can have a litter of pups. Once she is old enough and heavy enough, go ahead and have her fixed.

There is no reason for a dog to have a litter of pups before getting fixed. Giving birth is hard on their bodies, and is often a health risk. C-sections are common in dogs, and that is a very high risk for your dog. Hormones can change the temperment of a pregnant dog, they become very moody and overly-protective. Spaying your dog before its first heat can prevent cancer, and will keep your dog from experiencing any temperment changes.

NO. It increases the chance of cancer, the dog could have complications and die from whelping, you add more puppies to the planet.....what would be the reason to do that. It offers no health benefit.
Can you imagine if every female dog had a litter. We would be drowning in dogs all over the streets.
Unless the dog is show quality, has all their health clearances, and is part of a well though out breeding program....it should be spayed ASAP!!

No!! It increases the chanches of your dog getting cancer, get your pup fixed A.S.A.P. Also you won't have a mess everytime your dog goes into heat, puppies are really cute, but also a lot of work.

No, there are sooo many dogs that already need to be adopted. I know how cute puppies are, but there are tons at rescues, pounds, and on the streets!!!! I say fix your animals!

No. It's really irresponsible. Millions of pets are put to sleep every year only because there aren't enough homes for them. Why would you want to add to the population of pets when there are too many now?

No, it isn't necessary, and you shouldn't do it unless you already have future homes lined up for the pups.

Anwser..No, but allowing her to have one heat will!.. & I totally agree that we do not need more puppies. Even if your dog is quality , and you do not know this then you are not breeder material!! Breeding dogs is strictly for the upgraded quality and preservation of the species! If that is not your prime goal then please do not breed ...
