He motions like he is constantly biting out at a fly. He is whining and he won't settle down (i.e he keeps walking around). He acts like he wants to throw up and did indeed bring up a little bit including grass. Is he choking, what can I do to help him? When do I bother the vet?

My Springer Spaniel is about ready to switch to adult food. She has been getting fed purina growth and development her whole life so far. It's pricey and gives her bad breath but she seems to really like it. I would like some suggestions on good healty adult dry food for her that is reasonably priced and doesn't make her stink. I live a good distance from any actual pet stores so gas money is also a factor when buying her certain foods. Is there any food worth while at local grocery stores? I've heard some horror stories of cheap dog foods and I want to make the right decision for my dog.

My puppy was spayed 2 days ago. I noticed today that when she's excited to see someone, she will jump up and down and pee unintentionally. Is this a side effect that will go away? She never had any accidents before.

If you find a reputable breeder they will sell you a pup for half of what Petland initially wants. Why is that and is there a way around what they do?

I seriously needed some answers.... My dog, which I had for almost nine years is limping.... I am not too sure why she limped..... its e front left leg.... yesterday morning, its e front right leg, but after I massage for her, its ok and still can walk when I leave e house. But when I reached home at night, she is limping again, but this time round is the front left leg.... I tried to massage but it does not recover..... When I bought her out for walks, she is still limping, and it breaks my heart.... She has not fall down, but I wonder what is going on.... does it has anything to do with the cold weather since she is old already? Do I have to bring her to a vet or wait a few days 1st? I cant concentrate at work, I am still very worried for her..... Pls help to answer or have anyone met with this situation before? She looks so sad this morning, and it breaks my heart.....

Not feed your pet Purina anymore?
a Mr. Alan Beck is going around the country apparently promoting BSL's and how Pitbulls are bad dogs period.
I personnally will no longer use their products. wondering if anyone else will support this as well?

Our black lab really smells bad no matter how many baths we give him. We have used several different "shampoos" and nothing has seemed to work. Any ideas?

im thinking of purchasing a small dog. I have had experience with yorkies. my yorkies passed away, i do not want another one=[ im not sure which breed to get. I want one that doesnt get too big, but that isnt so small its like a teacup and has health issues. I would also prefer a breed that sheds little to no hair. I have checked the shelters in my area and have found nothing. Could anyone give me an idea of good breeds? It would be an inside dog(of course going outside to play daily).

♥ thanks

my yorkie whines up close and personal. she will sit on my husbands lap and look him right in the face and whine until he gets on the floor and plays with her. we cant do this 24-7. she is the greatest pup in the world except for this. weve tried to spray her with a spray bottle of water, it didnt faze her. we've yelled at her (it broke our hearts, for we adore her.) and we've tried to ignore her... help! ant suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.

She had a puppy earlier today at around 12 noon and since then she hasn't had any more. I checked her and she seems to be doing pretty good. She already ate and drank water but no more babies. Do you think thats all she's gonna have? Anybody else that has had this situation before?

I'm considering getting another dog, and my husband is partial to beagles. I grew up with the breed, so I know how great they are and decided to check on a purebred rescue site. There will be a group of young (±2 yrs old) purebreds coming to the rescue, but they were rescued from labs. Supposedly they are very sweet, but don't really know how to act like dogs.

Has anyone ever rescued a lab animal, and if so were there additional issues you would need to address because of their history? I have another dog, and have heard that it's good for these rescues to be in a household with another dog, so it can learn how to "act like a dog," and my dog now LOVES other dogs, so it seems like it would be a win/win situation...but I was curious if anyone has had trouble socializing such a dog?

My dog opens the refrigerator & eats whatever he can get...we had to buy a side-by-side model, so he couldn't get in it. Does anyone else have a dog that does this?
