She has had a false pregnancy before. But this time i'm really sure the deed was done. I want her to have at least one litter before i fix her. She is 2.5 years old. She has always been a picky eater and now she is definately eating less than she usually does.

My dog, who is a 1 year old golden retriever, was his by a car on Wednesday, 9/20. We brought him home from the hospital yesterday and he still won't eat. He hasn't eaten since the accident. He is drinking water. When we first brought him home, he ate a bunch of treats. Now.. nothing. The hospital had us bring him back and they don't see anything physically wrong with him to keep him from eating. They did say that we need to stop the codeine because that could be what's doing it. He is interested in the food we present him, he just won't eat it. He has broken ribs and had surgery on his pelvic bone. He's been on morphine, anesthesia, and now codeine. The doctor told us to force feed him if we have to. He has until Friday to eat "something" or he has to be brought back to the hospital. Any suggestions!

My Yorkie has been walking on his 2 front legs for a couple of months but now he pees as he walks that way and of course he gets his underside all wet. It's really funny watching him do it. He only seems to do it when he's in the grass and it's already wet. I think he doesn't want to get his back feet wet. Has anyone else had the same experience?

I have a female that will grow to about 85 pounds approx. She is 5 months and is starting to get very active. I am an avid runner and was wondering if I should ease her long maybe a mile at a time or what. I do not want to put too much stress on her as she is growing, but her energy continues to increase. Any advice would be welcome from a fellow owner of these wonderful dogs.

My kids and I, ages 9 & 7, want to get a puppy in about 6 months. I want to get all the info I can first so we get a dog that is a good fit for our family. We live in a house with a nice sized yard, I work Mon-Fri but other than that I am ALWAYS home. I'd love to have a dog to take care of. I know they are lots of work and I am ready for that. I just cant decide what kind of dog I want to get. I love dogs, all kinds so, I was hoping you may have ideas what kind would be a good match for us.
-I dont want a large dog, i want the dog to be able to easily hop in the car to the lake or wherever
-I do not want a dog just to carry around in a doggie purse either
-I want a dog that is good with kids (though they are not too young & wont be pestering at the dog)
-full breeds & mix breeds are good
-I want a dog that will hopefully want to lay with me and be my best friend (awww)

Please tell me why you suggest a certain kind of dog. Just a type wont help much. Thanks!

I've always wondered why people did this to certain type of dogs. It just seems cruel to me.

I just a puppy 10 days ago. He is 3 months old. So far, he has been pretty good, no accidents, sleeps through the night, etc.

When he sees me he gets really happy. But, when we are playing and sometimes when I just hold him, he tends to want to bite me. Sometimes it is playful, other times it is really hard. When he plays, he will play with his toys for a while, and then he starts biting on me. So, I've tried everything I have been told to do. Such as stopping him and giving him his toy and saying good boy, holding his tounge down and saying no bite, then giving him his toy, etc. But, he seems to want to do it more.

I realize that he is teething now and this could be part of the reason. I have found that ice can help some of the time, and often he will go right to sleep. But, I'm just worried if I don't get this corrected now, he will continue to do it and I don't know what else to try.

Any suggestions would be great.

I like the look of sporting breeds but am worried about the activity level. The dog will get daily exercise but realistically it wont be for hours like some websites recommend. We do occasionally go camping/hiking. MUST be okay with kids. Would prefer no/low/moderate shedding. I have owned a medium sized mutt before but am looking for a purebred this time. Not interested in a Lab, Golden Retriever, Greyhounds, or any of the poodle mixes. I know im picky but i was hoping someone could recommend a good family dog type--G.S.P.? too crazy? Dalmatian? Too crazy? Any help would be appreciated. thanks
