That could be known as "hot spot's" the vet will ahve a cheap spray for that and it will clear up pretty fast. But take your pup into the vet's to be sure!

I also have a wiener dog, and although I dont have that same problem, it sounds like your poor pup may have some sort of parasite...I am assuming that you have had the sores checked by a vet, if you havent, you should. They aren't normal, and by her licking she is making it worse. Is she long haired or short? my murph has a little wart like thing on her chest, but it doesn't make her scratch...she may also have fleas, and dont kid yourself, just because you cant see them doesn't mean they aren't there. Murph had fleas and it took me almost a week to find them on her ( as they dont live on the dog but in the environment where the animal lives jumping on and off to feed) they were always on her backside and sides but never on her belly... she may also have impacted anal glands, which makes them lick all the time( its rather smelly) and they need to be emptied almost once a month.. if you don't do them, they will get infected.
I'm not too sure if I helped any, and of course I'm not a vet...just a daxie owner like yourself...
good luck and I hope it clears up quick..

She may have an allergic reaction or fleas or another skin compailnt,in that case she really needs to be seen by a vet for the most appropriate treatment. It could be boredom, try giving her soft toys, chews or a bone and see if the biting stops but it sounds more like a skin complaint because of the warts.Hope she has a speedy recovery

Take your dog to a vet. There are many solutions. The most common type of skin problem is the result of a dog being allergic to their dog food. Dogs can deveop allergies to their food just like humans at any time. Could also be flea bites. Please take your dog to a vet to get your animal the help it needs. Imagine how you would feel if your literally were so uncomfortable you chewed and licked your own skin to this point?

She might have skin allergies, call a vet and ask if you can get her in. If not ask if you can give her benedryl. Also try a bath made for dogs with sensitive skin or "hot spots." Try to keep her from licking, she might make it bleed. Give her a bone.

take'a da bambino to da VETERINARIAN! lots of animals get them, maybe the Vet can freeze them off or something......at least you'll know what they are if you take the dog in.

you need to take him to the vet before he gives himself an infection if he hasn't already....postponing makes it worse and your vet bill bigger
