I have a Maltese. His nose is peeling and it's bloody. And he keps vomiting. I petted him and he started jumping on my hand and licking it and stuff and I got all itchy and my hand got two small rashes. This happened yesterday. Today I am okay. But what about my dog?? I know I have to take him to the vet, but before I take him... anybody has an idea of what he might have and what could be wriong with him???

I have a 6 month old golden retriver, and we are thinking about getting her spayed and we were wondering when is the right time, she hasnt gone into heat yet, but is it better to get her spayed before the heat or when she has already gotten her first heat?
any advice right now would really help. =]

My dog, mayDay, will NOT get a ball or toy or anything. She is a Female Coker Spaniel/Poodle mix. I threw her a ball made for jumping jacks, a little squishy ball, a football (though she is small) a little toy dog, a little rabbit, and she has only gone after a ball on or two balls AT A WALK. She will not get anything I through, except for treats. I have EVEN tried putting the squishy ball in her dog food so she would smell it. but she payed NO attention whatsoever. I'm desperate! How can I get her to fetch??

I dont know if this means anything. Never had a pregnant dog. But any how here it goes. My dog woohoo is swollen and I dont know how far along she is .because She was at my grandmothers house when this happened but she has been there for a few months.Because I was there for awhile been out of there for a month.what could she be swllen from?

every time he arrives home energetically rubs his nose and face (really strongly) in the carpet of the living room? The first time I wondered that he might have something itching on his nose but now I've noticed he does that EVERY SINGLE time he arrives home (from a walk in the park, from holidays, from a week in the country...)
Do you have any idea why he does that?

My basset hounds is 12-15 pounds overweight and I want to help him lose. His last exam he was told he was overweight and actually gained six pounds. How can I help him lose a good bit of weight for a long and healthy life span. My family is not as supportive as I am apparentally because they continue to feed my basset too much off their own plates. I have tried to increase his exercise a bit, but his endurance is very low. When I take him for good sized walks he often gets sick or gasps for air. Please help!

my family and i have had our dog for about 3yrs now and he is the best dog but our stepdad(who we been livin with for bout a year) wants a collie. NOW dont get me wrong i would love another dog and so would our dog but heres the thing our old dog has to stay outside because our stepdad says he doesnt like the all the fur around the house but he wants the new collie to be an inside dog. he is spoiling the new dog like crazy. now i love'em both but our old dog is like my brother and i can tell his feelings are hurt.i told my stepdad if we can let our older dog in too but he said no. its weird cause our older dog is the size of a baby golden retriever and the collie is gonna be 5 times as big!

I dont leave water out all the time, and he can go 6-7 hours without going in his kennel, but he cant go 20 minutes without peeing in the house. I keep him gated in the kitchen because of that, and I feel bad cause he doesnt have a lot of room to run. He goes every time we go outside, and he wont #2 in the house, but he cant stop peeing. We go out about every hour and a half. He doesnt have any other dogs to learn from. I've seen many answers for this kinda thing on here, but I've tried them or they dont apply to him. I need a new idea.
And, are shock collars mean? (he barks a lot too and I dont want to get evicted)

We just recently adopted What I call a weiner dog lol Anyway its a girl and shes older .Shes very picky about her food.She won't eat dry food or can every great once in a while she might eat the can .but not like she needs to.She will go all day with no food but will eat certain table food like chicken beef and so forth.i know table food isn't good for dogs so Im trying to find out what to get her to eat ?Any suggestions?If people who had her first fed her table food whats the best way to get her to come off it?
