Yes like someone above said female dogs only mate when they can get pregnant. Also dogs are "in heat" (meaning they can get pregnant) for longer than they are on their period. One week before and one week after their period. Just so you know dogs can get abortions, just call the vet if you don't want your dog to have puppies. Or if the male she mated with is much larger than she is, her body cannot handle the larger puppies and she can die. Also, if her nipples are at all swolen it is a good sign she is pregnant. But before a female dog goes into heat her nipples usually swell.

Most female dogs will not accept a male if they ar not going through the heat cycle. the cycle starts with the first sign of blood and ends aproximatly 21 days late. the days which she is most able to get pregnant are from the 8 to the 14 days but this is only an educated guess some females cycles differand they are willing to mate until the 21st day of the cycle. Ask your veterinarian for more information. their are cases of false pregnancy in thich a female shows signs of being pregnant after her heat cycle ends. there is really not faultprouf way to determine if a female is pregnant until the 61 day of pregnancy when an xray can show the skeletons of the puppies or through the use of an ultasound machine which some veterinarians may have. Again I would like to encurage you to seek the guidance of a veterinarian for more information.

Was she with in a day or so of heat? or in the middle of the year? If she is between heats there is no way she can be pregnant. No matter how many times she is bred.
I would really be surprised if she would even let a male dog mount her when she isn't ready!
I don't know why her teats are swollen, because I have never had that problem with my females but a trip to the Vet. for peace of mind is a good idea!

If she was not in heat and got bred then she can't be pregnant. But dogs can have false pregnancy where their nipples extend and they go through signs of acting like they are pregnant. But the heat cycle can last up to 3 weeks so even if she wasn't bleeding she could have still been in heat and gotten pregnant.

If your dog was noit in heat she would not have allowed a male dog to mate with her.
They will only allow a male to mate when they are ready to be bred.
So ifyour dog locked up with a male and was stuck to him for 20 minutes or so she is most likely pregnant. You will know if about 63 days. That is the gestation time for dogs.

Bitches cannot mate if they are not on heat. If you know your girl has been mated, then she might be pregnant. At 6 weeks pregnant her nipples will swell & she will have a clear discharge from her vulva. At 7 weeks she will start to fill out on her rib cage & tummy.

Yes, she most probably pregnant. Dogs only mate when they can get pregnant.

Yes there is a good chance. Most females will NOT let a male mount her unless she is fertile and ready to reproduce. The only way to tell for sure is to visit your vet.
