dogs are natural swimmers but some dogs don't like water or to swim. In that case don't force them to go in. It really depends on their personality, so will take the plunge others won't.

What I've heard is that all mammals are natural swimmers, some better than others though. The Newfoundland breed, a type of work dog, has webbed feet and thick fur to be able to swim in frigid waters. Hoped this helped!

Yes, they are. Some like water and some don't, but as a general rule, they do know how to swim. If you have your dog around a pool, please make sure there is some way for the dog to get out of the pool easily if it should fall (or jump) in. Be sure you show your dog where this dog-friendly pool exit is. Big dogs can often use the regular stairs but little breeds may need some extra help.

my dog only goes in the pool when she falls in. she hates it!!!! i think they might be natural swimmers because my dog could swim to the steps when my mom was calling her over. certain dogs might not be. my dog is a Bouvier des Flandres named Chloe.

Some breeds can swim better than others. Some like water some don't. English Bulldogs are too deep chested and can drowned if they fall in water. Don't just chunk your dog in water and assume it can swim, because the fear can make them go under and get water in their lungs.

properly there's a marginally undemanding attempt to make certain wheter your dogs can swim or not. all it somewhat is favor on your area is to come across a lake and f*ck them in. in the experience that they swim, large. in the experience that they dont it doesnt somewhat count number anymore.
