dry house, pet me, and take good care of me. They must be Gods!" A cat thinks, "Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me. I must be a God!"

i can not understand it. i have just explained to my other half and neither of us can find a good reason for it. i know i would not like to lose the first joint of my finger or toes so why do people do it to cats in this day an age. and can people actually justisfy it. we both think that those who do this should not have a cat in the first place if they don't like their natural behaviour.

thanks for any explanations

I just moved into a new place with 9 month old male cat (not yet neutered). There is a female 4 year old cat already living here and the two of them do not get along. As soon as my cat sees the other cat he runs at it and a fight happens every time. the fights are really bad, with both cats pissing themselves and fur flying everywhere. I've tried watching them when they're together but i have to be watching them both the whole time to make sure they stay away from each other. The other cat always just hides from him and runs away. Will neutering my cat help? He's such a nice cat to people and other cats usually. He got along great with the last cat he lived with and it was Male. I just don't know what to do and I'm scared one is going to kill the other.

First I must say, I have the BEST, SWEETEST, most beautiful kitty in the world. My cat is my life... I will admit every once in a blue moon he does things of which he needs to be punished for. What is the best method everyone has found for punishment? I use a water squirt bottle. That normally works. Does anyone else have other ideas?

I don't think its okay to pop/spat a kitty for punishment. They are different than dogs and don't get the picture, right?

Thanks in advance. Link to him below.. that is my BABY!

Iasked this question and was annihilated earlier. I had my cat Rexie declawed and now he bites and won't use the litter box. I tried giving him away but nobody wants him he's so mean. I can't fool with him like this and would rather euthanize him. How is he euthanized (gas, injection) and how much does it cost. He weighs 11 pounds.

My cat Cheeto who will be 3 in June won't chew dry food. She throws up at least twice a week, sometimes she will go longer without throwing up. I have her on prescription diet food but Science Diet recently changed the shape and size of their food. Seems like that made her problem worse. She doesn't chew even if I hand feed her. How do I get her to chew or teach her how to chew?

My two year old domestic short hair cat, who regularily went to the vet and had no symptoms, just stopped breathing and died. He was always in the house and I got him when he was just weeks old. It's been almost a year since it happened but I can't let go, but I was wondering if anyone else ever heard of that happening.

Hello, My boyfriend and I recently 'adopted' two semi-feral kittens from a friend. We were told the kittens had been born under the man's back porch, and brought in when it 'started to get cold'. We were told at the time we adopted them, about 2 weeks ago. The gentleman also told us they were 9 weeks old... which makes no sense to us. The only way that would be possible is if he had brought them in when they had just been born (he had them from about December to mid-March). He told us when they had been brought in they were weaned enough to eat solid foods. We're estimating their current age at about 5 or 6 months old, each.
He also told us that the little female 'shadow' was spayed, and that the little male 'mr. tony' wasn't fixed yet. We do have paperwork showing that shadow was in fact spayed, but we've got nothing for 'mr tony'.
We're trying to figure out if these two can be tamed at all. Shadow will hiss and spit at you no matter what you do, and mr. tony has developed a habit

Just a few minutes ago, my cat was over on the couch playing. My mum keeps a needle and 3 pins pinned into the arm of the couch for easy acess. I saw her eating something, and when I went over to see what it was, she had pulled out all 3 pins from the couch. 2 were gone and she was attempting to eat the third.
I'm not sure if she actually ate them, or just pulled them out and they dropped somewhere. She's pretty lively right now, but I can't find the other pins, which where there 10 minutes ago when I was sitting on the couch.
Can anyone tell me how they will affect her and how to know if she in fact did. Our family is going through a hard time, and if at all possible, it would be good if we didn't have to go see a vet, but I would do anything to keep her healthy.
Update-now (it's been about 15 minutes after the incident) she's lying on the couch looking very tired and depressed, which is very odd for her
PLEASE HELP ME ASAP

I take pictures of them and put them in heart-shaped picture frames too. And I love cuddling with them and letting them sleep on me and sometimes they lick my lips and nose.

Maybe I should get a doberman or something too, you know, to balance me out?

I have a couple cats one is 14 and one is 12 and they seem very very healthy still.

But being realistic, how much longer can I expect?

They are treated like the princesses they are and are constantly and disgustingly showered in love and hugs and kisses.

Our pet cat had a wound on his face several weeks ago. The vet said he'd been in a fight, cleaned the wound, put on an Elizabethan collar, and gave him antibiotics for a week. After a week, the wound had healed only slightly, so the cat had another two weeks of antibiotics and wearing the collar.

The wound is still there, but almost healed completely. BUT, he has two new places on him. Not wounds like his face, but simply hairless patches. One on the other side of his face and one on the back of his neck. He isn't scratching or acting like it itches at all, which is a question the vet asked a few weeks ago to disprove mange. What in the world could it be?

I can't even give him away. How much does it cost to euthanize a cat? He's about 11 pounds.

I believe its only when my cat seeks attention, but ever since it was a kitten, my cat quivers her tail rapidly, as she runs to see me! I've seen a little of this in a few other cats, but beleive me, you've never seen nothing like this! From the base to the tip, she will constantlly quivers it rapidly, and constantly make a rolling churping noise, simular to a racoon. This noise I've also seen a few cats do a little, but nothing close to the amount, or extent, that my little Hilly does! She loves cheese, (grated) sleeping, or just kicking back in a small basket, about half her size, and constantly aggravates, and torments any other cats she comes in contact with, no matter what size they are, and whether their awake, or asleep! In my life I've seen and studied thousands of kittens, and cats, and owned a great deal, but I honestly believe this one quite possibly deserves a rubber room in the local mental institution, or maybe just a CAT-SCAN!!!

Hello,

I bought a birman cat after I went to a cat chow and feel in love with them - it was a 'seal point' and absolutely gorgeous.

Everything was okay for the first lot of months, the cat stayed indoors and I gave it lots of attention etc..... it was like my baby and then it started to bite me all the time and scrap me - she developed a really nasty temperament and then trashed the house, scrapped the furniture really badly and cried all the time.

When I was in hospital having my first baby, my husband came home from visiting me to find her at the top of the stairs, at the bottom of the stairs theree was a picture of me and her smashed to pieces that she must have thrown down from my bedroom and a teddy for our new child was ripped to bits as well.

In the end I had to give her away when the baby was 3 months old, as she became increasingly vicious and I couldn't trust her in the house with my baby.
Has anyone else had a similar situation with a cat? moggies I had were ok

I just need cat food that's healthy(without fillers-more natural), not tested on animals, found in local stores(Petco, Petsmart, Target, Walmart, Kmart, etc-not online), and that hasn't been recalled in any of its products. Please help, I'm desperate to find the right kind.

Sugery for declawing cats that is.

I DON'T want to know what happens or what can happen AFTERWARDS. All I want to know is what can go wrong DURING surgery!
Thanks!
