There could be many reasons.
1. Cats do not like using dirty litter boxes. Make sure you have 2 cat boxes and that they are scooped out daily. The boxes should also be dumped, washed out, and refilled with clean litter at least once a week.
2. They could have a medical problem. Not sure how likely it is that they BOTH would have this problem, but it's possible. Most common issue is a urinary tract infection, or something to do with the kidneys. If it's a uti, than it's very common that they'd pee outside of the box. They associate the pain of trying to pee with the box itself, and as a result, will pee everywhere else.
3. Territory/behavioral. If there has been another animal in the house, you have the scent of another animal on you, you've been gone for long periods of time, or you've been giving attention to one and not the other. Really, the list could go on and on.
If the boxes are clean and you have plenty of them and none of the behavioral issues are valid for your situation, than I'd take them to the vet.

Maybe they dont like their litter or the box is too dirty. Clean it (scrub it!) and make sure there are 2 - 3 boxes in the house in case they dont like using it in the same spot the other cat does. Keep them out of your room until they go back to using the box.

first off get them to the vet and make sure there isn't a medical condition going on that they are doing this (like a urinary tract infection)
second, go to petco or petsmart and get some nature's merical spray and spray that on your sheets and mattress and let that soak in that will eat away the urine and then your cat's won't smell it there and be less likely to think that it's ok to pee there.

when cats do this its either teratorial behavior if there is a stray around or they have a health issue.this is theur way of getting your attention and to let you know something is wrong.
