How hard does he/she bite you?
It's most likely that kitty just wants to play with you and share time with you.
Whenever kitty bites you, distract him/her with a toy and spend some time playing together.
Kitty needs to learn that you are not a toy/ fellow kitty, so this should help.
If it's more serious than a playful nip, then everytime it happens, make a loud noise and/or spray him with water, then introduce a toy instead.
I hope this helps you - I had the same problem with my kitten but he quickly learnt what was acceptable playfulness and what was just downright painful to his human!!!
Good luck and have fun with kitty!

I consider the squirting water trick- it does wonders:) And it does not harm them. you're able to probable take the prospect to coach it the be conscious "no" on an analogous time. We used a water squirter on our cat that would desire to climb your leg like a tree in case you probably did no longer feed her speedy sufficient- she have been given the photograph. i'd additionally evaluate attempting to maintain them seperate for a whilst. the two the cat is enjoying, or he's questioning- "i'm going to get her till now she receives me". make optimistic that your daughter does not cope with kitty too style of, and make optimistic that the kitten understands that biting = no enjoying. If the cat is barely enjoying yet biting, %. it up and pass it faraway from the place you're. it might take merely somewhat perseverance, yet ultimately your cat gets the thought if he bites he receives rejected. solid success alongside with your new kitty

When the cat bites you dont scold it or move away, let it and it'll probably lick you afterwards. This is what our kittens do, its just there way of saying i got you (bite) but i still love you (lick).

Mine still does it and she's five years old. I think they bite to get your attention and as part of the grooming process.

it sounds to me that your cat wants you to notice him or her. A cat needs to trust his or her owner and it can take along time to get that trust.
