My little Ebony has a cat-flap to allow her freedom to the outside during the day but I have to keep it taped open as she just will not push it open herself. She is intelligent but for some reason she will just not learn this trick! Any suggestions??

I got a kitty for my grandma and now he is grown and messing up the furniture. He's an inside cat and i figured it would be ok to have him declawed since he doesnt go outside and has been fixed. We have tried having the vet clip his nails but stewie cant resist scratching up the place. He has scratching posts and other things to claw. So is declawing the best or the worst thing to do?

Hello,

My cat is apparently overweight, exactly 15 lbs. She has lived with us for a long time now, and is pretty old. Full black.

What should I do to lose her jelly?

Her name is Gypsy, shes a gray tiger striped cat, but we started noticing knots or lumps on her chest and belly area that are just getting bigger and bigger every day. We cant afford to take her to the vet, so i was just wondering if anyone might have a clue as to what it may be?

They have bad breath and have less energy. I can't afford to take them to the vet if it's just a cold that they will get over. But if anyone knows if these are symptoms of something worse please tell me.

If anyone has any experience with this, I'd really appericate any input. The cat has claws and is outdoors sometimes. She's very well behaved indoors though. I'm not sure how she'll do with a ferret in the house. Is a ferret "prey" in a cat's eyes?

I got my 2 kitty's (7 1/2 mths old) fixed and declawed thurs. I picked them up from the vet today,(sat) They are both having alot of pain walking. The 1 cat has had some diareah and throwing up and he has hid under the couch all day and don't wanna come out.(not like him) I'm worried. Is this normal? Do you think he just wants to be alone cuz he don't feel good? Thanks!

Cats will usually do something to the mouse to signifacantly slow them done. That way the mouse is still alive and more fun to play with but less likely to get away. What is it that the cat does to the mouse and can the mouse survive?

I just moved in with my husband and I brought my cat (karma) who is a Russian Blue. My husband's son just moved in with us as well and I know its a whole new environment for karma and plus now having a child around. I was wondering if anyone has experiance this and how should I introduce the cat to the child?

Karma is still scared and hides under the bed, I brought her kitty litter box and food and water in our room for her safe haven for now. By the way it has only been 3 days since the move and 12 hours since my husband's son has moved in with us.

She means the world to me and I will do what ever it takes to make her comfortable.

Ok. My first cat is 2 1/2 years old, his name is Donnie. He used to live with other cats, so I know he is ok with them. He is neutered and declawed (only the front paws). Now, in order to bring home the second one home, since I got him from the no-kill shelter, I have to have him fixed. I don't know exactly how old he is, they called him an adult but I don't think he is full grown yet. My question is, should I have him declawed before he comes home or should I wait? I'd like to get it done all at once but I want to do what is best for the cats... thanks!

4 month & 10 month old......

They eat about 5 cans of cat food a day.... and poop so much that I have to replace the litter every day. They go through a whole 20 lb litter in less than a week.

I am thinking about returning them to the pound!

To be fairly brief, she's not eating, drinking, grooming. Been to the vet, did blood work, no thyroid probs, no FIV no FeLv, no diabetes. She's down to almost nothing. we've tried to force feed her but she aspirates, and vomits. The vet did a full body scan, found nothing. no tumors, NOTHING. Any suggestions at all??
